The digital space has witnessed major transformations in the last couple of years and as per industry experts would continue to evolve itself. The latest entrant to the digital space is the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT can also be defined as interplay for software, telecom and electronic hardware industry and promises to offer tremendous opportunities for many industries.

With the advent of the Internet of Things (IoT), the number of connected sensors soon will reach trillions, working with billions of intelligent systems involving in-numerous applications will drive new consumer and business behaviour. The demand for increasingly intelligent industry solutions based on IoT will drive trillions of dollars in opportunity for IT industry and even more for the companies that take advantage of the IoT.

One of the top most initiatives in the form of Digital India Program of the Government which aims at ‘transforming India into digital empowered society and knowledge economy’, is expected to provide the required impetus for development of the IoT industry ecosystem in the country.

Department of Electronics and Information Technology,(DeiTY) has come out with a draft IOT Policy document which focuses on following objectives:

i. To create an IoT industry in India of USD 15 billion by 2020. It has been assumed that India would have a share of 5-6% of global IoT industry.

ii. To undertake capacity development (Human & Technology) for IoT specific skill-sets for domestic and international markets.

iii. To undertake Research & development for all the assisting technologies.

iv. To develop IoT products specific to Indian needs in all possible domains.

The Policy framework of the IoT Policy has been proposed to be implemented via a multi-pillar approach. The approach comprises of five vertical pillars (Demonstration Centres, Capacity Building & Incubation, R&D and Innovation, Incentives and Engagements, Human Resource Development) and 2 horizontal supports (Standards & Governance structure).

Respected Dear PM, Re. Oral orders from bureaucrat It may be hard for staff to ask written orders from their bosses but here is an easy way out, the employees always can send a written confirmation to their boss that they have carried out the work as per their order or will be executing the work as per the order. I work in a University and applied this strategy whenever I have received oral orders and it works well.

Dear PM, I want to bring to your notice the value of customers and quality of services in Govt organized sectors. For example take IRCTC, my ticket was cancelled due to Hud Hud cyclone (Train cancelled), they sent an email to manually cancel my ticket in 72 hours but I could not do because I was trapped in cyclone. I thought my money would come back automatically. They used to return earlier, now I lost Rs.1,600 without my fault. Please instruct IRCTC / Railway ministry to act promptly.

To Rule over this IOT policy first you(Mr.PM) should launch India's own navigation,Defence usable Setelites so we can use it with lower costs As well with 100% privacy, after that you've to make me E-gov policies and reform old policies for establishment of a new era of modern connectivity.Internet policies must be liberal,so that new IT firms will attract towards India & provide their better networking at affordable cost.these are few effective steps for betterment of IOT policy.

PM Sir, I have been watching in TV the pathetic situation of J&K and Visakhapatnam people. All Indians must contribute to welfare of people of these states. You are requested to announce one salary from Central government employees to pay to PM relief fund so that PMO can give financial help to badly effected people of these two states. You are also requested to tell International community what Pakistan is trying to do at the boarder. Our country need to be strong to care of ourselves. Jai Hind

Respected sir , I would suggest complete connection via wifi in every area so that people could connect anywhere possible even in remote areas . This could be done by collaborating with private network providers and allowing citizens to register and the charges can be assimilated based on their usage calculated by an application and their timing just like postpaid and electricity supply meters ..or another option is by taxes keeping charges as nominal as possible .
