The digital space has witnessed major transformations in the last couple of years and as per industry experts would continue to evolve itself. The latest entrant to the digital space is the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT can also be defined as interplay for software, telecom and electronic hardware industry and promises to offer tremendous opportunities for many industries.

With the advent of the Internet of Things (IoT), the number of connected sensors soon will reach trillions, working with billions of intelligent systems involving in-numerous applications will drive new consumer and business behaviour. The demand for increasingly intelligent industry solutions based on IoT will drive trillions of dollars in opportunity for IT industry and even more for the companies that take advantage of the IoT.

i. To create an IoT industry in India of USD 15 billion by 2020. It has been assumed that India would have a share of 5-6% of global IoT industry.

ii. To undertake capacity development (Human & Technology) for IoT specific skill-sets for domestic and international markets.

iii. To undertake Research & development for all the assisting technologies.

iv. To develop IoT products specific to Indian needs in all possible domains.

The Policy framework of the IoT Policy has been proposed to be implemented via a multi-pillar approach. The approach comprises of five vertical pillars (Demonstration Centres, Capacity Building & Incubation, R&D and Innovation, Incentives and Engagements, Human Resource Development) and 2 horizontal supports (Standards & Governance structure).

I will focus on Police stations where no digitization have been seen. All police stations must be connected through a central server. All criminal records, missing complaints, murders, extortionist details must be saved on central server. Now a days if any police station want any criminal records they have to ask almost 100's of police stations for records, which is hectic & time consuming. If it is online then it's simple to get detailed history of any criminal within few minutes.

First of all unify the English spellings of the place names(district, towns, panchayats etc). Bring a unified numbering system for houses all over India, specific pin codes for all post offices(including sub offices). This will make digitization drive easier. after entering multiple spellings, it would be difficult to solve the issue. Be it the first step. This will make the process easier. In Aadhaar people from same house r having multiple address due to wide variety of spellings. Rectify this

It is good to know that employees in the R&D sector have been given pay rises. I think the emphasis in the country should be taking overseas patents and breaking them to come up with Indian patents, which should then be available to indian industry at a price. Everyone does this, including multinationals and China too! This a key to fast success and development!

Quick delivery of justice is important as they say "Justice delayed is justice denied". Also no one will comply with any law if justice is immensely delayed, like it happen now in India. From my experience of being around the world, I think this is one of the root causes of underdevelopment in India as it effects business as well as individuals.

India has a huge burden of legislation carried over from British days. This should be repealed in stages and new legislation made after a formal assessment of "costs and benefits " to the community. This was done successfully in Australia where I worked on this. My contact number is +61402074839.

First make sure guide lines/suggested technologies and models for building software applications, infra are defined. Give maximum push for OPEN SOURCE technologies. A simple example. Currently California, USA divided into 58 districts (counties). And each county used their own way of building software apps leading to multiple technologies, hardware etc to do SAME thing. Now it is gigantic task to unify them. Simple things like, "always use Ubuntu OS" will go a long way and make life easier.

Modi ji, look at South Korea and USA. Make sure fiber/cable laid across country is always owned by govt and allow companies to compete in providing internet. Because USA govt didn't do this, today consumers pay exorbitant prices for internet with very limited options where as in S Korea lot of options to with much higher quality available. Invest HEAVILY on fiber and infrastructure. Use any PPP(public-private partner) and let private make money first and eventually own infra by govt.

India has an extensive constitution which has addressed many aspects of life. But hardly, people are aware of it. Even myself (an engineer) dont know details about my rights as a citizen. It's like GITA which says basic rules of life, being complex, is not able to effect lifes of common people. Is there any way to explain our constitution to common people in a lucid manner? If it is done many problems would be solved automatically.
