The digital space has witnessed major transformations in the last couple of years and as per industry experts would continue to evolve itself. The latest entrant to the digital space is the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT can also be defined as interplay for software, telecom and electronic hardware industry and promises to offer tremendous opportunities for many industries.

With the advent of the Internet of Things (IoT), the number of connected sensors soon will reach trillions, working with billions of intelligent systems involving in-numerous applications will drive new consumer and business behaviour. The demand for increasingly intelligent industry solutions based on IoT will drive trillions of dollars in opportunity for IT industry and even more for the companies that take advantage of the IoT.

One of the top most initiatives in the form of Digital India Program of the Government which aims at ‘transforming India into digital empowered society and knowledge economy’, is expected to provide the required impetus for development of the IoT industry ecosystem in the country.

Department of Electronics and Information Technology,(DeiTY) has come out with a draft IOT Policy document which focuses on following objectives:

i. To create an IoT industry in India of USD 15 billion by 2020. It has been assumed that India would have a share of 5-6% of global IoT industry.

ii. To undertake capacity development (Human & Technology) for IoT specific skill-sets for domestic and international markets.

iii. To undertake Research & development for all the assisting technologies.

iv. To develop IoT products specific to Indian needs in all possible domains.

The Policy framework of the IoT Policy has been proposed to be implemented via a multi-pillar approach. The approach comprises of five vertical pillars (Demonstration Centres, Capacity Building & Incubation, R&D and Innovation, Incentives and Engagements, Human Resource Development) and 2 horizontal supports (Standards & Governance structure).

sir .... for india to become digital country ...... just finish all the reservation in the professional degree courses........... and make the reservation in the school level ..where the base is made of child ...... in professional courses like engineering ..... we want cream students ...... and the admission shoul be based on the inelligence and IQ and the knowlege .....not on the basis of reservation and all that ......instead of reservation give make the financial categories ... for the fees

The proposed visit of PM to Kashmir Flood affected people on the occasion of Diwali is realllaudable. I suggest that in order to allow Kashmir to stand on its feet and with complete honour I suggest that all the Indian Citizen's should try and spend their Hoilday in Kashmir. In next 6 months to a year should be declared as Visit Kashmir Year. All the tour operators all over the country should be encouraged to organsie Kashmir Tours on priority. The Govt can allow special LTA deduction .

There is very serious problems that many indians are suffering from is to renew or recreation of documents after loosing them.The government officer have tendency to loot such peoples. so we should make such app or site which should content all documents of every indian and one can easily get print it out when necessary via his own login username and password.This print should be valid at every place and should be self attested at the time of documents submission.

India is the vast country of huge oppourtunity of tourism which will bring lot of revenues to our country. Every part of our country is blessed with natural beauty. It should be properly managed and cleaning to be done in every tourist centre to bring prosperity to our country. Every MPs should compulsory take care of their tourist centre in their constituency. There should be standard world class facilities in all the tourist centre, At present kerela tourism is best in the country.

sir your plan to connect each and every village with internet is very nice thinking as far as my knowledge is concerned and if it is really implemented properly then it will help people of the rural region to get aware of various gov schemes. it will make the people of villages digital which will contributes to digital india.

The Government should be a little more liberal in giving spectrums for the mobile cos. Because it gives the general public more bandwidth speed in 2G and 3G mobile connections.....
