primarily the govt. should take care about the transportation to suppy the fruits at time wherever required because it will avoid overripening of fruits which is a major affect and also there should be sufficient cold stores in each districts to store those friuts and also there should be govt. registered friuts suppliers so that the whole scenario is in contact with the govt. so that they can manage accordingly ..i think it's enough to improve financial productivity with the fruits

There should be a refrigerated godown to store a fruit and vegetables at everty taluka where production of fruits and vegetables is more.Govt should strengthen the supply chain network of veg and fruits by encouraging firms to invest in supply chain.Farmer should be given training on storage practices of veg and fruits. On line data should be there for the demand and supply of each district of India.Railway should give marginal discount on veg &fruit goods to supply at demand places.

Provide a facility where each farmer can able see the places where there is lot of demand and could transport the same.
I heard if you do not use fertilizers, the vegetables and fruits can last very long.
Make farmers understand of the need of fruits and vegetables around the world and provide necessary facility to export.
Promote export of vegetables to other nearby countries like Singapore can also be an option to consider.

Technology based farming is necessary in India,Farmers should know the technology to sale their crop directly to the buyers in the farm like online bidding and sale, then directly buyer will interact to the farmers,if farmers are not aware Government should support the farmers by the Technology. Take a necessary step to Direct Sale of Crop by the farmer without any mediation by using technology..

First of all,
All unwanted middle-persons in this food chain should be removed,
Secondly,
Immediately after the cultivation of these vegetables and fruits,
Providing Transportation and Warehousing facility at cheaper cost is the duty of State Government,
Storage of fruits and Vegetables should be kept under Government check(Stockpiles)
All respected Farmers and Whole-sellers of fruits and vegetables should keep the allotted place or Market place neat and clean in order to stop the wastage.

First of all we have to categorized all fruits and vegetables on their decay time and provide them proper cold store or warehouses to store all of them. And before loosing it should get selled because while we loose all of fruits and vegetables it increases cost of all things which is suffered by a layman

First of all we need to categorize the fruits and vegetables on the basis of decay time. Most of the Indian fruits can withstand for more than 48 hours where as the green vegetables may have little concern. Farmers normally try to sell these items as soon as possible. We need to develop a system where farmers should be educated on this front, so that they can plan proper schedule for sell. Once we got right veg /fruits we have breathing time for transportation.

do away with commission agents .. give farmers direct access to customers through farmer state cooperative society which an open shops across the country. facilitate easy movement of goods across states.. cold storage facility at taluka level run by farmers cooperative society.. this will help the farmer get value for his produce and also help the customer get good produce at reasonable price . The commission agent who profit at the cost of the farmer will be the only one to lose.

We need to first make sure that every harvest is reached to end users in time, if it doesn't how can we utilize those products for long term use. We need to find means to convert fruits and vegetables into different forms which can be as useful as fresh products. I have attached few points to reduce wastage of food.
