It is proposed to set up an agency to combat human trafficking in all its manifestations and grabs since it is a crime with involving other crimes and it is felt that we are few steps behind traffickers and need to have a specialized agency manned by all stake holders for monitoring, investigation, rescue and rehabilitation of the victims. Currently, web portal of Anti Human Trafficking -www.stophumantrafficking/mha.nic.in is available in public domain.

The HTPA is proposed to be pro-active agency or collaborative endeavour of all stake holders so that some feasible impact on the menace can be made.

You are invited to give innovative ideas on what shape will this proposed new institution take in terms of structure, composition and area of functioning.

Pretensions to the contrary apart, divisive politics of quota/Reservation in government jobs, seats in the educational institutions and other such matters selectively for certain targeted groups, even if draped and decked with the covering of social justice, does what it would invariably do-i.e. Dividing the nation,. Such act of preference to selective groups or communities, by any name, certainly disadvantages other communities, and as a consequence, keeps the nation divided.

If I recall correctly, once, when he was Chief Minister of Gujarat, Modiji, reportedly said, “There is no minority community in Gujarat; all are Gujarati”. Now that he is the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, the likes of me wish that he, in the same vein and spirit, proclaims, in most unmistakable terms: “There is no minority community in India; here all are Indians”. The Constitution of India does not define ‘minority’.

In my humble opinion what ails the Hindu society may be called: Poly-caste-Identity-Pyroxia - the parasite of which was originally transmitted in its body politic by the sage Manu, who, ab-initio, divided the society in four castes: Brahman, Kshatriya, Vaishya, and Sudra. With the passage of time, these castes were further got divided and sub-divided in multiple small units with disastrous results, so much so that now we witness 'Gaur mein bhi Aaur' phenomenon.

We should reject the politicians who have been fooling us since day one for the simple reason that by ‘change’ they only mean ‘cosmetic changes’ , enactment of a huge pile of useless laws to crowd the already saturated statute book without repealing the archaic laws just to make the confusion worse confounded for the common citizens. Reject those self-serving professional politicians. Radical revolutionary changes in the very system of governance only holds the promise.
