Smartness in farming can achieve only when enough infrastructure at national level is available
Ideally a team of farmers cannot become smart if infrastructure is not competent and addressing dependable parameters of

With irrigation projects most of the water is used in water intensive commercial crops like sugar cane and water is not available in downstream areas.
Suggest water intensive sugar cane like crops should be allowed in tail end Ares of projects/ canals so that water is percolated throughout the prjoect covered area.

IoT monitored irrigation system:
These days electricity and water have been a rare and expensive commodity.
Sensor controlled IoT solutions should monitor the need for irrigating the land. Also, irrigation start automatically without human interevntion as soon as electricity is available. Combined with drip irrigation labor requiremnt also can be reduced.

I appreciate this government bringing new ideas helping the people of india to grow further in the career.
However, the schemes are not implemented as derived. From the district collectorate level, the service is degraded and the public doesn't receive the actual content.
Government officials say, they are getting many new plans from Government, but not the resources. So I prefer, this Government to think on the resource to broadcast these messages to public before implementing it.

Farming should be done as a Collective Enterprise & the goal should be to use technology to its fullest #IoT for efficient use of resources. All the resources should be identified, allotted and tracked during growing season like a project with proper stakeholders. Technology #smartfarming can facilitate all the activities with highest degree of transparency and help to connect with other players like policy makers, academia and consumers.
Will upload our ppt in this regard soon.
