Water is a vital resource for life, and for the economy. Nowadays, one of the most serious challenges to solve and manage the water scarcity. With the depletion of water resources, the demand for quality water is increasing day by day. Water utilities are under pressure to provide good quality water, but are struggling with their outdated infrastructure at the same time. Furthermore, one of the major concerns of water utilities is the increasing wastage and pollution of water bodies caused due to metering errors, leaks, pipe bursts, and industrial waste. To manage all these issues, water utilities have to come up with smart water management solutions and techniques.

IoT may be used in potable water monitoring tools to monitor the quality of tap water in all government owned education institutes and public places. It should be applied in real-time detection of leakages and wastes of factories in rivers and other natural water bodies. It can also be used in monitoring of water level variations in rivers, dams and reservoirs, for proactive disaster management.

Smart water management is the combination of smart hardware, smart solutions, and smart services integrated together to minimize wastage and optimize the utilization. Intelligent use of information and analytics can be leveraged to deliver improved outcomes across the water management lifecycle.

With the help of this discussion platform we request you to share your valuable inputs on how IOT can be used in:

• Demand Forecasting and Allocation of water resources
• Water Quality Testing
• Infrastructure Management
• Improve Preparedness and Response to water management system

Your suggestions on the above topics will help us to make an integrated view and plan of action for Smart Water development by applying IoT and analytics.

Hello sir, I would like to give the following suggestion- The best solution for the problem of scarcity of water is rainwater harvesting. All government buildings should be fitted with the measures to harvest rainwater and it should be made compulsory for currently under construction buildings to have that mechanism.

#MyGov #Smartwater Dear sir Western Ghats dams like koyana dam is releasing thousands of TMC water wastefully into Arabia sea for Electricity generation. Technical Solutions need to divet the water towards east side (instead of west towards Arabia sea)to use the water into Krishna river again ,since Rayalaseema region of AP is grossly neglected from past 68years and it is fast turning into a desert / highlevel arid zone.Undermountain tunnels, pipes, checkdams required to divert the water of river

Jai Hind Mr.Modi, Sir,I'm not able to give suggestion to such a great personality, its a kind request to save water from small level & that is from HOME,OFFICE,PUBLIC PLACES,MALLS,etc by making best quality automatic faucets with such a low priced that everyone can afford it. I think by doing this we can start saving water from the very 1st day after installation of these faucets.Though this product is available in market but its not capable for regular use. So Sir, Let's Do It

#savewater instead of taking a whole new initiative we can even increase water conservation in a large scale by spreading awareness about wastages of water when we use shower instead of bucket, when we use flush, when using tap for brushing etc. we can increase participation by people for using water collected in containers rather than using running water. Even new technologies can be used which will use less water while using flush or shower.

Digitalization is also used in farming.Water pump can be automatically started and closed when farmer is out of station which saves the water. But you cannot supply the same amount of water to other crop. Therefore by connecting that programme to agriculture and biology department we can get to know the name of the spicie of the crop and exact amount of water needed. Our farmer can start water supply by entering the crop details below they can start the pump with needed amount of water saving water
