For delivering various Citizen centric services and furthering the reach of Financial Services including Insurance, the Government of India has set up a Task Force to examine and recommend efficient utilisation and upgradation of the Post Office Network, enabled with Digital/Internet Connectivity to rural Offices and outpost areas enabling reach of different services in rural areas. This Network is also being viewed as a distribution channel to retail various schemes and services of Central Government, State Government and Private Sector Players.

Through this discussion the Department of Posts (Ministry of Communications & Information Technology) seeks suggestions on the following:

•    To provide efficient postal network and points of presence [particularly in rural areas and small towns] to Central Government Ministries / Departments, State Governments [including Local Self Government] and private sector players for delivering various citizen-centric services, scheme, products to the people.
•    To further the role of Post Offices in Financial inclusion, including Insurance products
•    The infrastructure requirements of the Post Offices and the Postal Network
•    To make the Post Offices financially viable

Last date for sending your suggestions is 30th November, 2014.

Following are my suggestions: 1. Like courier service, if post office should increase number of outlets for collection and distribution of post. 2. Increase number of speed post with home delivery and collection. 3. Post office should have a couter for banking. 4. Post office should have Railway ticket booking counter in small villages. 5. PO should be information center of village, should be provided with Laptops, projector and internet facitilities to be utilized for mass communication.

A lot of opinions are on the improvement of services provided at the PO and also make the staff look and feel very professional. Subsequently, the PO can be leveraged for payment of Bills, Passport application verification process, registration for exams. Once the Post Offices are centralized, the whole country can be mapped biometrical and all services could be linked to PO to abolish corruption.

Sir, in my view up gradation of post offices for different view of points is important, firstly, the efficency of the candidates as a office bears should be maintain especially in the field of technical matters especially in the rural areas. Govt.should make people to trust towards to the post offices as highly responsible body as an integral part of the goverment mechanism. It has to equipped with latest technology. There should be competitive examination for the various post among the people of the particular state itself.

R/Sir, Those are belongs in city area garbage is regular pain for our house.If we recycle the garbage & generate waste energy power.Lot of benefit bring to our daily life also citizen of our country directly & Indirectly effected. Most wastes that are generated, find their way into land and water bodies without proper treatment, causing severe water pollution. They also emit greenhouse gases like methane and carbon dioxide, and add to air pollution. Any organic waste from urban and rural areas

post office has wide spread reach throughout the length & breadth of the country and can be used for govt sponsored program & messages in the deep villages.

Post offices can be treated as profit centers.Saving schemes like NSS,NSC, PPF and fixed deposit schemes can be directly done by the staffs. All the staffs to be allotted with year targets and it can be done by them directly instead of agents to avoid commission to the agents.Also courier services could be implemented for local towns/cities.Young arts graduates could be employed for better efficiency. All the post offices in the country to be upgraded with computers and with good furnitures

India is the having largest network of post office so Availibility is the strongest point. Benefit of strong point should be taken
