•    To further the role of Post Offices in Financial inclusion, including Insurance products
•    The infrastructure requirements of the Post Offices and the Postal Network
•    To make the Post Offices financially viable

Govt. Sector is lacking in many areas to compete with rivals in the market, This arose due to monopolistic competition. Competitor gives better service and guaranteed delivery within the time. People always choose better quality at lower price and they also do not hesitate pay extra for better service. So Indian postal need to concentrate on better service at lower price along with adopting high speed internet and docket track systems to fullfil the requirements of customers.

Post Offices have the highest out reach to the rural population. they carry out savings & other bank related transactions. Hence may be more suitable for having role in rural banking activities. The other notable area is Railway Reservations. The Post offices are ideal centers to facilitate PRS activity of Indian Railways. They have the infrastructure & may also cater to manpower needs. Require connectivity to internet and access to PRS networks.
