I want to say in nut and shell: "every body should do first, your basic job"
i want to say that post office ko pahle postal service ko best karne ki aur dhyan dena chahiye.
pahle isme excel ho jao fir dusri field men hath ajmana chahiye.

THERE IS LOT OF THINGS INDIAN POST CAN DO IN ORDER TO CASH IN THE HOBBY OF STAMP COLLECTING BY MANAGING EFFICIENTLY IT'S COUNTER BUSINESS LIKE.
IN FACT,I CAN NAME SOME GPO'S IN THE COUNTRY WHOSE OFFICIAL MANNING THE COUNTERS IN THIS SECTION IS EITHER NOT A FULL TIMER OR IS THERE AS A STOP GAP ARRANGEMENT.
THERE IS CLEARLY NO VISION AMONGST THE OFFICIAL CO-ORDINATING WITH THIS ASPECT OF THE POST OFFICES IN INDIA.
HOWEVER,SOME POST CIRCLES AND BRANCHES ARE EXCEPTION AND ARE DOING WELL.

LITERALLY,they are not giving any service BUT getting MILLIONS of Revenue out of Interests of the Stamp and First day cover's collectors, the Dept of post is doing Literally Nothing to help and create Interest for people in this hobby
.
The PHILATELY BUREAUE ALL OVER THE COUNTRY AND COUNTERS ARE ILL MANAGED !
THEY DO NOT HAVE EFFICIENT STAFF TO DEAL WITH STAMP LOVERS CORDIALLY.
ABOVE ALL,WHY CAN'T THE COUNTERS BE MANAGED LIKE BANK COUNTERS ?
OFFICIALS MOST OF THE TIME FEND US AWAY!

Removing money transactions will help post offices to avoid depending on skilled persons. Delivery system needs a/two managers with 2-3 semi-skilled system administrator(basic system knowledge is enough) and 4-5 unskilled labors. This will reduce cost of governance. Also concentrating on only one aim will help achieving more. Let the post offices achieve grand success through Minimum Governance with Maximum Benefits.

There is no major difference in rates between banks and post offices. Also there is no proper facility in all post offices for money transactions, challan payments etc. But the banks do these well and fast. Let the banks do these and allow post office to concentrate in one aim. "AIM OF BECOMING FASTEST, AFFORDABLE, CUSTOMER-FRIENDLY DELIVERY COMPANY". Focus must be on winning major courier companies like BlueDart, First Flight etc.

Post offices must be converted to courier centers with an aim of achieving fastest delivery with affordable prices. Other services like money deposits, transactions can be fully shifted 2 banks. This will reduce burden, manpower of post offices. Let the post office concentrate on courier, letter delivery fully.
Post offices must act like private companies in-terms of availability, quality, accuracy and 24*7 customer service. We must provide facilities like private companies in order to survive.

India's Postal department has a very vast network as well as potentially good resources like own buildings, modernized work space etc this could be better utilized to promote some more public utilities such as General Insurance, Telecom Services, General Stamps,Voter ID UID etc .
