Financial instruments lack adequate advertisements and thus they fail to compete with products offered by banks or any other financial institutions. Also the products offered by post offices are very old & they lack flexibility to changing environment which can be checked in order to improve

Schools could be encouraged to conduct post office visits for children to understand how the system works. This would induce an interest in them to use the system.

Could design a mobile application similar to email applications, where one can manage his posts, post office RD accounts etc. It would be nice if the person using online facility to send a post could choose the stamp to be used on the hard copy.

Using the information from the adhar card. The recipient can be informed that a letter has arrived through SMS or email alert system and he can be given option to alter the delivery address for convenience.

If a person writes a letter, scans it and sends it through the website of post office. The printout can be delivered to the recipient with the senders own hand writing.

Timed delivery can also be introduced. In this busy world , if one could time the delivery of a post card on a specific date it would be really helpful. There are lots of emails options for the same , but nothing feels as good as a real post card.

Post office can set up websites where people who in their busy life would like to send post cards or letters but doesn't have time for same, can write the letter online and pay online. The post office would send it to desired address as good old post card. This can also reduce the mail transportation, as a post card or letter for chennai can be printed in Chennai itself, irrespective of where the sender is from.

to improve the importance of post offices once again needs to bond this with nationality.for example there should be post cards worth rupees 10,20,50,100,500 etc etc those who is intrested to donate has to pay that some to the post office and they will dispatch that card with his/her name to PMO india with a message written by them on it .And the post office will deposit the amt to the PMO account.nxt thing if sum one wants to send greetings to our soldiers they can get free post cards from PO.

Financial instruments lack adequate advertisements and thus they fail to compete with products offered by banks or any other financial institutions. Also the products offered by post offices are very old & they lack flexibility to changing environment which can be checked in order to improve performance. More professionals should be hired for financial services offered by post office so that regular monitoring is done for the performance of various schemes.
