For delivering various Citizen centric services and furthering the reach of Financial Services including Insurance, the Government of India has set up a Task Force to examine and recommend efficient utilisation and upgradation of the Post Office Network, enabled with Digital/Internet Connectivity to rural Offices and outpost areas enabling reach of different services in rural areas. This Network is also being viewed as a distribution channel to retail various schemes and services of Central Government, State Government and Private Sector Players.

Through this discussion the Department of Posts (Ministry of Communications & Information Technology) seeks suggestions on the following:

•    To provide efficient postal network and points of presence [particularly in rural areas and small towns] to Central Government Ministries / Departments, State Governments [including Local Self Government] and private sector players for delivering various citizen-centric services, scheme, products to the people.
•    To further the role of Post Offices in Financial inclusion, including Insurance products
•    The infrastructure requirements of the Post Offices and the Postal Network
•    To make the Post Offices financially viable

Use PO for document/form submission for governement services (both state and center) e.g. ration card, pan card, electricity etc for form collections, bill payments, taxex/dues payments. Indian PO can be restructed to provide all citizen services of government agencies in addition to postal, banking, insurance, and capital markets (universal services).

It is time to integrate post and DOT, get WiFi n net enabled and then give access to people in all areas to net and web mail through PO. Also give option to send SMS to mobiles this will make people still use post office. Once network is built then create a subidary which can do banking where all can have account and this will help connect people, net, technology and still serve social cause. This can be then used for social purpose and be usedby govt to pay subsidy and other welfare directly.

Bi monthly PO must conduct Grievance Day in all post office. All POs through out India must be connected and e mail ids of all Post Master and other important officials must be provided.Customers must be able to report any problem easily through website.If there is a good and prompt service customers will surely use Post Office more than going to private courier companies.Newly appointed Postman should know his locality and its people to some extent.They must work with service mind & dedication.

Opening adequate PO with adequate staffs as per the area size and population must be considered. Many PO are too small and function in rented building.Some PO are not reachable during rainy season and they are in not accessible to aged people.Improving service on par with foreign countries has to be done.Old post seals must be changed to new one.Ordinary posts should be delivered. There are some incidents of postmans throwing the letters when they couldn't cover the big area.This must be checked

Exchange cards between preregistered, profiled hosts with equal words in diff language along with realistic philately. Card is identified by the host number. Learning language & new friendship from another corner of the nation unites the hosts. Selection of guests on terms of organizers & India posts will strengthen the nation. Language wars will be a forgotten past. Educational institutions will be the ideal target. Details of working model on personal discussion.

Modern Day Courier Service like Bluedart can be launched by Post Office Network, also credibility is needed as even Registered Posts are non delivered by Govt Post Offices these days. Simple Post Card or Inland Letter or 5 Rupee stamped Envelope is not even delivered by post offices of certain parts and hence for simple letter we need to spend Rs25 for Speed post / Reg Post. So credibility is what PO can bank upon. Easy Money Order can be just like m pesa or airtel money to any mobile/bank acnt

Post Office network was one of the strong networks the govt had. Can the same PO be used as an able alternative for Courier Services which will bring revenue to govt; PO can be used for implementing Central Govt Schemes, can be used for citizen redressel

More groups are to be included in this site for discussion. The main two problems we are facing now are(1) Corruption(2) Inflation can be put to discussion and solutions suggested for controlling the same. The number of groups a member can participate should be increased from four to all groups.
