One of the top and immediate initiative that government can undertake is to make the usage of electricity more efficient. All over India people are still using old lamps and tubes which consume high electricity. What govt. can do is to subsidise latest LED technology and can on a mission mode basis replace all electric lights in India with LEDs. This will immdt. reduce consumption for lighting by more than 50-80% . Govt can it self buy and distribute to millions all over India.

To make the post office financially viable, they can issue "agriculture gold loan" to farmers . It is highly recoverable loan and profit. It reduce other banks burden and safe from high interest rate people.

One major concern of old buildings in Mumbai is Common toilets.Major criteria for constructing toilets inside the rooms( private toilet) is getting the requisite NOC from concerned authorities that includes the landlord who usually demand @ Rs. 2 lacs to give his NOC for the same. These toilets are of urgent need for senior citizens staying in the buildings.and of utmost importance. There should be no permissions required to construct toilets. Kindly look into the matter urgently.

For example post office can receive complaints about corruption at any place or by any individual . It can maintain a register . It can send the message free of cost to the individual or office .It can also send copies to the relatives so that they wake up and put pressure silently

There are around 30,000 old bldgs in Mumbai with @ 25 lacs residents residing & urgently need redevelopment which is mainly stalled / stopped by Landlord due to conflict of interest. Permission should be made mandatory if 60% of residents are ready, then landlord cannot stop the process of redevelopment. You are kindly requested to seriously look into the matter of old buildings in Mumbai

I want to say something about education system in our country. In university, there are 75% theory and 25% practical. This type education policy isnot applicable for job. My opnion, there should be 75% practical and 25% theory in our university education policy. I hope that PM Narendra Modi will consider seriously this issue.

My Mother is a employee of India post. So i had went and seen the condition of most of the post of in my district Kannur. The main two things that hinder the growth of post office is lack of man power and infrastructure. New initiatives are brought, but the man power and infrastructure needed to execute it is not there. If the Government provides the minimum infrastructure and man power, just like the banks in India post office can also be made profitable.
