For delivering various Citizen centric services and furthering the reach of Financial Services including Insurance, the Government of India has set up a Task Force to examine and recommend efficient utilisation and upgradation of the Post Office Network, enabled with Digital/Internet Connectivity to rural Offices and outpost areas enabling reach of different services in rural areas. This Network is also being viewed as a distribution channel to retail various schemes and services of Central Government, State Government and Private Sector Players.

Through this discussion the Department of Posts (Ministry of Communications & Information Technology) seeks suggestions on the following:

•    To provide efficient postal network and points of presence [particularly in rural areas and small towns] to Central Government Ministries / Departments, State Governments [including Local Self Government] and private sector players for delivering various citizen-centric services, scheme, products to the people.
•    To further the role of Post Offices in Financial inclusion, including Insurance products
•    The infrastructure requirements of the Post Offices and the Postal Network
•    To make the Post Offices financially viable

Last date for sending your suggestions is 30th November, 2014.

I think there should be class for how to used technology like fill a form, searching on net, complain in gov office.

Sir I think we should reverse engineer the defence equipment we acquire from foreign countries and manufacture their improved versions as it will save a large chunk of tax payers money and the time we would require to develop the same technology. Plus there will be less room for errors.

Sir we are living in 21 century and we stand out at last in terms of internet speed in Aisa.how can an Indian compete with others.in India the internet is only for who are living in big cities what about people living in small cities . whenever they want to access Internet what they got speed with which web suffering merely can be done.I want india with better internet connectivity. THANK YOU..

Dear Prime Minister sir, People living in small villages/rural areas still have to rush to Taluka or District place to obtain any document/certificates such as Birth Certificate, marriage certificate, income certifcate etc..even certificates issued at Gram-panchayat level are not considered as a valid document in government offices and banks as well. Sir in good governance system we should consider this fact and think in a way to resolve such issues at Gram-panchyat level

Make post office a 24/7 365 days of multiple usage centre like atm machine , medical store,ticket booking office knowledge centre and mini library ,so always there will be a crowd and no need of security ,with a good connectivity throughout india and infrastructure we can connect with internet

sir PLZ A CORDIAL REQUEST ... Plz make voting compulsory.... Everyone should vote it is the duty of every citizen to vote... If one doesn't vote you can forfeit ones rasan or passport or voters I'd card , pan card , etc and plus a gud enough fine...

We can use post office for ecommerce ,what china post has done for alibaba , post office can be used for government own portal to promote goods which are special in particular part of india ,please oppoint a CEO like Nandan to reinvent the post office

I Have some idea about rural electrification according to the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana and now I discuss this idea.... Actually I am doing M.Tech in energy from Tezpur University Assam so, as an energy engineer I suggest some small small bio-mass power plant in villages because cow dong and agricultural wastes are very much available in villages.Another idea is small solar PV plant so that villages can do everything that we do everyday life.....
