Working hours for all banks, schools, offices, etc is roughly from 9 am to 5 pm. If I am a employee of a bank or a teacher, when will I pay my bill, during day time I am on duty. I get free at 5pm. But by that time all the govt offices are closed. It is difficult for one to do small small things like deposit Bill, etc. IF THE working of Post offices is extended upto 7pm, then all employees of all Govt and other institutions will get time to go the post office, and deposit their monthly bills

Key function of Post Office is DELIVERY of Post. We should improve it. Most of the post offices have become computerized now. Mobile number of sender and receiver should be made mandatory. SMS should be send immediately to inform where the post have reached. This will help in making customers more trustable. People will start trusting Post office and will start sending posts and parcels.

E-commerce should start from all villages. Every city/area has its own product. P.O. should collect and deliver local products for lesser charges. This will give business to PO. This will increase sale of the local product. If the product is of good standard and is accepted by the mass, it can get the title MADE IN INDIA after some time.

Post office should tie up with local manufacturers, collect their product from source and deliver it to client. For example a lady is making papad at home, she cannot go to the post office for dispatching small quantity. If she informs post office, their employees collect the packet of Papad from home, properly pack it for her. Write address of delivery. And deliver it. After delivery the PO confirms to lady, so that she becomes relaxed, and confident.increase business of small scale industry.

2) As employees of Post Office are hard working (they walk long distances to deliver posts), there caliber should be used in building a better society. They should be made agents for delivering field reports of various govt departments like schools, etc to CENTRAL MINISTRY. They should give ground feedback of schools and other organizations, as how they are performing, what are the basic problems, are employees performing there duties properly or not.

1. Post offices should come to ppl, instead of ppl going to them.
2.Post offices should first be renovated, and made user friendly.
3.All govt, semi govt org should use post office for ALL purposes.
4. Post offices should have a centralized website, with different tabs for different places.

The first and foremost the emphasis should be on one time delivery of post. It should be run professionally and with a profit motive. Secondly this vast network should provide value added services like being business correspondents for the financial inclusion program. Each post office should be a point of presence for making all utility payments. These two services should be purely with profit motive and should not be subsidized.
