What is Environmental Sustainability?
The goal of environmental sustainability is to conserve natural resources and to develop alternate sources of power while reducing pollution and harm to the environment. For environmental sustainability, the state of the future – as measured in 50, 100 and 1,000 years is the guiding principle. Many of the projects that are rooted in environmental sustainability will involve replanting forests, preserving wetlands and protecting natural areas from resource harvesting. The biggest criticism of environmental sustainability initiatives is that their priorities can be at odds with the needs of a growing industrialized society.

What is Environmental Sustainability and Sustainable Development?
While it may seem that environmental sustainability and sustainable development are one in the same, there is quite a few ways in which they diverge in their goals. They do have the same overall goal that of conserving natural resources and creating more energy efficient projects and practices – but the two groups that are focused on them may find themselves in disagreement about what the priorities of actions are. Having a better understanding of how they are different and the same can help you do know how to navigate dealing with both.

R5-- Recover to be environment friendly. We are blessed with large coastline 7000 kms +, tropical forests, have rivers, lakes, dams, ponds which grow algae which absorbs co2 emissions. Depending on the nutrients & sunlight. To be a developed country industrial activity is a must. Now that we are the third largest growing economy. There will be more pressure on us for pollution & energy consumption.
Industrial activity amounts in heat & pollution to certain extent apart from vehicular pollution. Does the world look at our land area, population, green cover or only hot spots. Internationally we should get benifits of large coastline, large population, comparatively small land area for the population. Having a vast coastline algae in oceans which absorb large amounts of co2 should give us a better index compared to other countries. This is my understanding could be right or wrong.

The Green life
Recycle it... Recover it....
Recycling is one of the best ways for you to have a positive impact on the world in which we live. Recycling is important to both the natural environment and us. We must act fast as the amount of waste we create is increasing all the time. Harmful chemicals are released from rubbish in landfill sites. Recycling helps to reduce the pollution caused by waste. Huge amounts of energy are used when making products from raw materials. Recycling requires much less energy and therefore helps to preserve natural resources.
