India is one of the leaders in sustainable development and clean energy. With the Hon PM Narendra Modi-led government’s reform-oriented, environment-friendly policies, the country has time & again shown that sound environmental policies can pave the way to a sound economy.

At the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 in 2021, PM Shri Narendra Modi announced the ‘LiFE’, a mission to bring individual behavioural change at the forefront of the global climate action narrative. LIFE or Lifestyle for Environment along with the ‘Pro Planet People’ movement, aims to strengthen the efforts to overcome climate change.

LiFE will replace the prevailing 'use-and-throw’ thinking with an environmentally conscious lifestyle. The Mission is to create a global community of ‘Pro-Planet People’ (P3), who with their shared commitment will adopt and promote environmentally friendly lifestyles.

Individual Efforts Are Key to Climate Commitment

India's traditional knowledge strongly positions it to lead the narrative of addressing climate change. Like many other mass movements, LiFE aims to inspire climate action based on the mantra of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’.

MyGov invites you to share your ideas and suggestions on how to adapt to an environmentally conscious lifestyle.

1. Reduce
2. Reuse
3. Recycle
4. Renewable
5. Recover
6. Re-design
7. Re-manufacture

Few examples for the above:
Reduce - Electricity, Fuel Usage
Reuse - Old Clothes, Electronics, Building materials, furniture
Recycle - Plastic, newspapers, cartons, boxes
Renewable - Solar, Wind, Hydro, Tidal, Geothermal & Biomass
Recover - Forests, rivers, soil, mountains, wildlife
Redesign - Green buildings
Remanufacture - E-waste for new purposes

Our civilisational values have taught us the importance of living in harmony with nature. Today, let’s come together to protect our environment & take forward Mission LiFE - Lifestyle for Environment.

Inspired by Unilever’s sustainability slogan, “Small actions can make a big difference,” workers at the company’s PG tips tea factory in Trafford Park, England, had a bright idea. In Britain, most tea comes in paper tea bags. By reducing the end seals of each tea bag by 3 millimeters, 15 huge reels of paper could be saved every shift. Since its launch in 2015, this factory-floor suggestion has resulted in savings of €47,500 and 9.3 tonnes of paper (about 20,500 pounds). Similarly, in early 2015, at the Unilever factory in Khamgaon, India, six employees approached the factory manager with the idea of starting a beauty and hair care course in their village to help local women get a job or start a business, while at the same time promoting Unilever’s personal care products. In March 2015, management gave the green light, and the training center was launched. To date, 825 women have been trained, and 610 are working in beauty parlors or have started their own business.

LIFE - get down to basics- roti, kapda, makan & add to it infrastructure incl communication now Y & where India master of food & medicine lost its way ! Nano urea offers hope. Let there be extensive research & implementation. By when will India exceed Israel/Holland/Germany ! they suffer the harshest weather but still not heard of shortages there . work methods, ethics ? Indian saints had kala of living without food, serving army and whole vllage with least effort. Guests were God, annapurnas everywhere. This cooking now considered a menial work. All books point to Food that makes the body , mind work. Time to respect it & eat with reverence. Kapda- India was a leader here but lost out everywhere . Our old photographs & sculpture such sense of beauty, aesthetics . Our tribal banjarans ridiculed , shamed but they lived a much better lifestyle in sync with nature and very low cost. they wore it pride. Makan- Modern Indian construction quality worst & costly to maintain too !

Pranam I am happy that we have a platform to raise a concern/ Suggest something. Sir, on your level, there might be a lot of good initiatives But they don't reach the grounds. 1. Janaushadi Kendra- 90% of the janaushadi kendras are always closed. Someone has to make sure, they are open 12 hours a day at the least. Undoubtedly, there will be a medical store open next to a janaushadi kendra which will be operational for most of the time. ( Fact check can be done for this). 2. Every government server seems to be always busy, or at least the employees in the government offices say so. Since we don't have visibility, we tend to believe everything they say. 3. Roads are not repaired even after high-court's intervention. Few roads were repaired during PM's visit to Bangalore and it went back to it;s original glory in coupe of days.

LIFE - have we lost the way ! 1) Population control ! just no effort ! single biggest culprit in all the problems. Inspite of all the data , not one targeted or preemptive measures . On top illegal citizens. How china did it ! atleast show India's soft power, adopt , take on lease even unhabitable land currently . Punjabis , Kutchis, sindhis made US/australia/canada/uk /ME/Africa EU prosperous. Y can't owassi clan do it ! shift ghettos /slums lock stock barrel, from better states like Gujarat/MP/UP. Biharis gladly migrated all over india earlier. They can be asked to do it ! many Hindu countries have biharis /UP origin as farm labour ! can they do it again have planned NE J&K, and country borders. can they have good dense settlement matching UAE standards complete with roads, metro rail, port , preferred settlement. Shift courts in naxalite areas. Let the my lords show their leadership and administration capabilities and transform them from bottom to top in 5 -10 years.
