The logistics cost in India is 13-14% of GDP which needs to be brought down to single digit global level of 8% of GDP. To achieve this objective, we recommend Digital Transformation of Road Transport Operations in India to eliminate the inbuilt inefficiencies for improving th productivity of our National assets, viz. Trucks. In this regard, we have submitted a detailed presentation to the Ministry of Road Transport Highways how this can be achieved. But regret, the ministry officials have not taken the matter on priority. We are extremely disappointed with the indifferent attitude of the officials towards this National Interest issue. In the process, they have made us wait for more than 2 years now.
