One of the key priorities of the Government is to provide a non-adversarial and a responsive tax administration with the main objective of creating an environment conducive for achieving higher investments and growth. At the same time the focus is also on ensuring ease of doing business for the taxpayers. For individual taxpayers, Government endeavours to promote voluntary compliance by making compliance easy and reducing the cost of compliance for the taxpayers. These steps are aimed to ultimately result in buoyant revenue collections, reflecting higher growth, leading to higher standard of living and better quality of life for the citizens.

The Department of Revenue invites taxpayers and general public to provide innovative ideas and suggestions on tax policy and administrative issues with the objective of ease of doing business and reducing compliance cost for industries thereby facilitating buoyancy of revenue and increase in investment leading to higher growth.

Sir, I humbly submit that BJP Govt., proposed to bring reformation & invited suggestions on it. The Major party congress agreed to support GST bill. From the incorporation of Indian Income tax Act,1922 & States Sales tax/VAT Acts, till this day it has given permission to all classes of qualified professionals to represent & appear before authorities up to Tribunal except High court. This should be elaborate in both the Income-tax & in GST Regime to help augment revenue & to reduce unemployment

India ruled by UK prior to 1947,they introduced Indian Income-Tax Act 1922 & a class of qualified to practice tax under said Act. In 1949 ICAI has been introduced,at that time few qualified chartered accountants existing. In the Act those who are practicing under IT Act 1922 with experience of 10 & above years permitted as CA`s.Once the Act was permitted to such persons, why not under Incometax & GST Acts those to who practicing for more than 20 years shall not be recognised under Section 44AB

Greetings, First & formost duty of the Central Government should be to create proper opportunities in eradicating un-employment. By taking related tax professionals into the system of voluntary compliance it should strengthen its tax base. It is sincere request to look into assisting tax payers by involving all related tax professionals mentioned in Rule 12A of Income-Tax Rules,1962. Presently the Government is depending on only class of professionals which is not yielding the expected results.

SIR, THE SECTION 44AB HAS PROVED THAT THE DEPARTMENT CAN NOT GET ANY INFORMATION THAT WAS INTENDED,SPECIALLY IN CASE OF NON CORPORATE ASSESSEES AND THE SAME HAS BEEN ACCEPTED BY THE CBDT IN REPLAY TO RTI.THE SECTION WAS INTRODUCED LONG BACK AND THE SAME HAS BECOME ABSOLUTE AND NEEDS TO BE SCRAPED FOR NON CORPORATE ASSESSEE.BECAUSE THE AUDITOR APPOINTED BY THE ASSESSEE IN CASE OF NON CORPORATE SECTOR WILL NEVER GIVE A QUALIFIED AUDIT REPORT AGAINST THE PERSON APPOINTED HIM.

#TaxAdministration government when need additional revenue increase the tax rates as it is a easy method but it impact only true citizens who pays tax accurately why cant we make an effort to increase revenue by bringing the measures to crub the practice of tax avoidance .if you dont have administration staff i have an idea hire the chartered accountants on contract basis in the peak month of returns and let them assess each return and report and pay them a part of additional tax generated.

Let individual tax rates be reduced before corporate rates. Levying of cess of 0.5 percent smacks of old thinking. Increase the burden for all stakeholders for a paltry sum of 400 crores. Ache din expectations belied.

Let there be a readiness for radical changes. No point in tweaking tax rates and tax slabs etc. tax terrorism continues in Indirect tax especially Service tax matters. Direct tax rates need to be progressive. tax rates can be drastically reduced with a atmosphere of trust to increase voluntary compliance. HNIs can be taxed little higher. Considering the real inflation, the existing tax systems is not going to help the nation nor the government politically. What people yearn is real change.
