One of the key priorities of the Government is to provide a non-adversarial and a responsive tax administration with the main objective of creating an environment conducive for achieving higher investments and growth. At the same time the focus is also on ensuring ease of doing business for the taxpayers. For individual taxpayers, Government endeavours to promote voluntary compliance by making compliance easy and reducing the cost of compliance for the taxpayers. These steps are aimed to ultimately result in buoyant revenue collections, reflecting higher growth, leading to higher standard of living and better quality of life for the citizens.

The Department of Revenue invites taxpayers and general public to provide innovative ideas and suggestions on tax policy and administrative issues with the objective of ease of doing business and reducing compliance cost for industries thereby facilitating buoyancy of revenue and increase in investment leading to higher growth.

Let there be a readiness for radical changes. No point in tweaking tax rates and tax slabs etc. tax terrorism continues in Indirect tax especially Service tax matters. Direct tax rates need to be progressive. tax rates can be drastically reduced with a atmosphere of trust to increase voluntary compliance. HNIs can be taxed little higher. Considering the real inflation, the existing tax systems is not going to help the nation nor the government politically. What people yearn is real change.

Only the minimum pay increase from 7000 to 18000 per 7th pay commission can be accepted, this difference of Rs 11000 can be paid to all higher pay bands , which might be reasonable.Increasing the pay for other bands by 2.57 to 2.78 times existing pay will be bad for the country as private sector will be forced to increase the salary and due to the rise in salary and living costs India will become uncompetitive high cost destination and cannot compete with china and FDI will not flow into India

Clause 5.1.9 of the 7th Pay Commission says the pay structure as it stands today is fairly compact and manageable, so there is no reason to increase the pay except for the entry pay band of rs 7000.It is proposed to increase the salary of cabinet secretary which is 90000 to Rs 2.5 lakhs/month, very high and unjustified , if the 7th pay is accepted youth will not join jobs in the private sector but sit at home and attend coaching classes to pass upsc/ssc exams in hope to get government employment

Respected Sir, Please don't accept the recommendations of the 7th Pay commission due to the following reasons. You promised us minimum government and maximum governance. The 7th pay commission suggests to increase the entry pay from 2.57 to 2.78 times. While a minimum pay of Rs 18000 for the existing entry pay of 7000 is justified which is increase of 2.57 times , multiplying the existing entry pay by 2.57 to 2.78 times for pay bands starting from 9300 onwards is unjustified as too high pay

Contd.. CASH LESS COUNTRY .. We know black money is either held in cash/gold/real estate or in foreign lands through hawala. To have a check on these routs, make the country Cashless.now when every indian has a bank account/rupay debit card in his hand, I dont understand what is the hurdle in making our india a cash less country. Hope our government will consider it. Otherwise people of this land will presume that this govt also want the present corrupt system to continue -reason well known !

Contd.. CASH LESS COUNTRY... everybody know the rout cause of our problems is black money- unaccounted money-solution lies in routing all your trnsactions through bank accounts.with increase in number of tax payers , low rates of tax will yield more and every citizen will happily pay. But all depend on the WILL POWER OF THE GOVT.

If Country like Sweden can become CASH LESS CUONTRY then why not we.Under Pmjdy all residents have been provided Rupay debit cards with basic sb accounts linked with aadhaar.commendable job done by the govt.even remote rural areas have banking/bc/bank mitra network.now if the government have strong will powerthere is no hurdle to make India a CASHLESS COUNTRY. Amount of money wasted on currency ptinting if used to strengthen atm/pos terminals for transfer transactions- can definitly do this.

Increasing the tax base: Many countries link renewal of trade license to payment of taxes. In India doctors/lawyers and many other professionals and establishment still work on cash and I am sure many dont pay taxes. One way of bringing them in the tax net is to ensure that they are given annual license to practice their trade. Renewal of their license should be linked to providing evidence of filing their tax return. This should bring in more people into the tax net.

we have to also consider the black money flowing within the country. for which you may announce the scheme & provide opportunity to people to declare their black money or such transactions. You can tax black money at normal tax rates and interest thereon (But No penalty),by this way people may get convert black money into white money by legal way & revenue will be also collected from such transactions without facing Income Tax departmental procedure.

Now a days most of the people is receiving notices from Income Tax department for Transactions done in past years like 2010-11, however there unable to reply or unable to pay tax & file return due to time limit in IT Act. It will be better if Income Tax Amnesty scheme is announced which enables to tax payer to file return for last 5-6 years & pay taxes thereon by this way people get relief from further action & harassment from IT Dept & Govt will also get revenue from undisclosed transaction
