Transport fuel oils are being taxed with impunity both by Central and State Govt to collect more and more assured revenues. This is single most self destructing act of Govts. Its highly inflationary . We should learn from USA. The biggest spender is Govt and its like taxing your self. If fuels are taxed moderately , uniformly we can be competitive in the world. Taxing end consumers bit higher will compensate loss of revenue.Detailed writeup is enclosed in PDF.

Instead of having income tax slab rates of 10, 20, 30 %, why not have 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30%. The transition from lower slab to higher one will be less burdensome.

Currently paying so many taxes. Income tax, service tax, vat etc. Price of petrol and diesel also contains more than 50% as tax when compared to base price. Instead of multiple taxes, there should be single tax collection system. Tax on Petroleum products should be lowered. Regarding tax of vehicle registration, why we are having different %ge in different states? it should be same across India.

Please introduce a fixed meal allowance for salaried employees. Currently corporates use sodexho and accor vouchers which is a needless intermediation for something as basic as meal. Just like transport, it can be safely assumed that an employee will incur some expense towards food each month
