Hi Team,
I will suggest you a simple and easy idea. Please provide a cycle lane for all the roads and put a strict rule that, no motor vehicles are not allowed into the cycle lane. If any motorist will use this lane the vehicle should be seized. This will give the people to avoid motor vehicles at least a day in a week.
Beacuse everyone wants to use cycling for their health, but today there is no way to ride cycle on roads.

Technical Suggestion #1 ..... Put long route high speed escalators on HIGHWAYS running on renewable source ( electricity ) so that vehicles can be parked on the same with a stopover at each prime location. It would definitely save gallons of fuel on a daily basis and reduce accidents.
This concept is not used anywhere in the world, so this idea may sound crazy & weird, but worth trying and lets be a first country to make this possible. Open for discussion for more details ............

Petroleum products are the most used yet scarce and non renewable source of energy. People should be aware of the techniques to save fuel for future generations to come. One best way to have optimum utilization of fuel is using #PCRA android app in which they clearly tells you about the best possible ways to save fuel. For example they say that keeping your bike's engine off while standing at a signal may cost you 20% less and it reduces the national waste, by that way you're also contributing

To encourage the masses to avoid petrol/diesel use
1)Promote Work from Home culture
2)Decentralize government agencies headquarters from metro cities.
3)Use school buses as well during holidays and after school timings
4)encourage companies to allot houses to their employees in proximity to their offices.
5)If all companies accept flexible work timings, then employees will not fear of getting late while traveling in highly unreliable public transport.

For Reducing use of Personnel vehicle, any city or municipal need more public transport like bus or metro. But getting a Metro is very costly and it takes lot of time, what immediately can be done is If all MPs of India Donate 2 Nos Bus each of around 20- 25 lakhs each to their Loksabha Seat for their people, which will be donated to respective State transport.
So total of around 10000 Buses will come in market in 2 months and around daily 40000 traveler more can be accommodated in 2 months

1. Use of Empty space below flyover for 2 wheeler parking and that too at 5 or 7 Rs for 12 hours. Providing space for 2 wheeler will motivate people to use 2 wheeler instead of 4 wheeler. 2 wheeler is more economical and saves fuel compared to 4 wheeler.
2. High Parking charges from 20 Rs to 50 Rs on Saturday for 4 wheeler (Not on Sunday) and High Parking charges for 2 Wheeler from 10 Rs to 25 Rs on Sunday (Not on Saturday).
