During the year 2015-16, India spent Rs.4.82 lakh crores on imports to fulfill domestic demand. To reduce the import burden, and also to work towards to a greener environment, it is proposed to avoid usage of Petrol/Diesel for one day in a week.

Our Hon’ble Prime Minister has urged all citizens to avoid usage of Petrol/Diesel for one day in a week. He has said that if 125 crore Indians pledge to do this, the dream of a ‘New India’ can be achieved.

Citizens are invited to suggest ways for encouraging and motivating the masses to avoid the usage of Petrol/Diesel for one day, every week.

Communicate monetary impact of not running vehicles for one day based on average total vehicles running on roads everyday by state wise RTO office registration figures. Encouraging people to pool car so that they run their own cars six days/week. Pooling can be done within family or friends. They can also use public transport for one day.

1) Encourge the usage of electric vehicles, for which roads of good standard should be laid. 2) Promote the utilization of solar energy to reduce the fuel of generators. 3) To increase the usage of public transport the number of public vehicles can be increased which in turn can reduce the usage of diesel.

Motivation is the key. We can motivate lower class or lower middle class with some promotional or discount schemes but they are not our target. Our main concern is Upper Middle Class or High class who are not willing to leave their comfort for any cost. They love to travel by their AC cars. So how to motivate them? My idea is targeted to this class, file is attached please have a look. Thanks

Why use petrol/Diesel at all? I have developed a system that can self charge any type of electric vehicle while it is in motion. I am an Inventor and have build a self charging bicycle and charging station that solves the problem that each and every electric vehicle faces today i.e. Range Anxiety. 1. www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KSs1fdjCOo 2. http://auto.ndtv.com/reviews/global-renergy-self-charging-electric-bicyc... 3. www.autocarindia.com/auto-features/its-electric-its-ecyc
