Education is considered as the backbone of development, both at the individual household and societal levels. Educating the tribal children has been a challenge for the Government for various socio-cultural, economic, ecological and administrative reasons. Government is redesigning its strategies to create an enabling ecosystem of equal opportunity for quality education for ST children.

One of the major concerns of Tribal education is the low ST literacy rate and high ST drop-out rate.

Reducing the ST drop-out rates in Class I to X is a challenge. Bringing them back and to gainfully utilizing those who have already dropped out requires extreme care, sensitivity, imagination and meticulous planning.

Through this platform, Ministry of Tribal Affairs invites ideas, suggestions, views, opinions, solutions, criticism, and best practices from citizen for innovative interventions.

intelctual is better than litrtrate.we can increase intellectual through practical knowledge of those featurus which is co-relate to them.provide hostal facilty .

Sir In some tribal areas midday meals programme implemented as a part of increasing schooling was not successful because the eating habits of the tribals were different from the food offered to them.In such cases they view midday meal programme as an attempt to intrude into their culture.In such cases we can either include food items in their regular diet as a part of the programme or give monetary reward instead.Stipends can be given to students inorder to supplement the loss of income conti..

They must also be encouraged to take part in various local,district, state, national and international competitions for quizzing, experimentation, research, etc. Probably an helpline -a toll free no. can be introduced for any time assistance for students. This assistance might be knowledge, experience or financial but it should aim at developing their aspirations. This helpline can also be extended to volunteers who would like to take personal attention and aid them.

Sir according to me allocation of a set of mentors and teachers to help such students will help them study well and learn with all the zeal and zest. Such students should be kept back after school for an extra hour or so and inspiration must be filled in them. They must be exposed to the outer world of competition,skill,and money. They must be taken to museums, planetariums, workshops with celebrities in the field if science, technology, art, finance, bank , journalism and politics.

Govt. should organise skills development programs in the tribal villages, so that they can earn to run day to day lives. Programs may be depends on types of resources available in that villages, rather govt. are investing huge amount on various schemes, which really are not beneficial in long terms to those tribal whose day to day lives depending on it. These programs will makes peoples self-dependent. That might also be helps the poor people of the country to be a part of "Make-in-India".

Sir, education is necessary, but it can take you only this far. The reason for drop-out is poor access to schools, lack of proper infrastructure, no teachers to cater to tribal areas, fear of loss of livelihood & culture and the need for employment & traditional skill training. It is not necessary to urbanise the whole of the nation, rather it would be wise to increase vocational training in these tribal schools which will help in greater access to basic needs & also prevent drop-outs.

our first task must be to build a city near villages city not district so that people do not migrate to far places by doing this we buit the village population,we can control population density if there are many people in a village government have to provide them facilities so that they can live easy life and at last Father of our nation Mahatma Gandhi as stated that "you develop village city will automatically will develop"

People like Prakash Amte are rare and now his two sons have adopted their father's work. I wish the tribal development ministry can help them with a grant and also take their help. I think Prakash Amte should be a great ambassador for a larger program to address the tribal uplift issues. I sincerely request if the tribal ministry can give a helping hand. Many of us have heard of Baba Amte and know about his work on Leprosy care. He is no more, but his son and grandsons are doing exceedingly great work in the tribal areas of Maharashtra since last 30+ years. They have achieved so much and also been recognized by Indian Govt and as well as Internationally. But what pains me is the lack of support the Govt has provided them - State of Central. It is highly appalling the level of neglect. Can the new Govt change that?
