There is a provision for obtaining IMEI number for phones which do not have it. The same is being done by private agencies and is legal also. Many stolen phones are provided with a fresh IMEI number by such private players. For that reason also it will be unsafe to link identity with mobile phones.

The said idea of the government will be putting the citizen at the mercy of the mobile service operators. This is dangerous as FDI / subsidiary operation is allowed and the stake of foreign company will be exercised to the detriment of our citizens. Indian stake may not be consolidated for voting as there will be fragmentation. For the said reason also it will be dangerous. Moreover people who are not literate enough will be taken for a ride due to identity theft.

as per AAID’s own record, during September, 1985 till September, 2012 out of a total of 5, 86,070 (i.e. 5 lakh, 86 thousand and 70) detected illegal Bangladeshi nationals living in Assam of which 5, 30, 456 (i.e. 5 lakh, 30 thousand, 4 hundred and 56) have been found to be “missing or fugitive”. Statistically speaking, that means out of 100% detected or identified illegal Bangladeshi immigrants, a whopping 96% have been found “missing” (where? vanished in thin air??) or that only 4% deported.

As per Assam’s leading Weekly Asam Bani’s (sister concern of highly trusted and reputed ‘The Assam Tribune Group’ of Assam) own report dated 8 March, 2013 (page no -2) quoting government record of ‘Assam Accord Implementation Department’ (AAID, Govt of Assam) established in 1985 to implement the historic accord has revealed very shocking fact with far reaching consequences for national security with the rise of Jihadi terrorism in this highly sensitive bordering state of India. So, please ACT !!

Mr. Prime Minister, Can you assure us that our data if and when supplied to UIDAI will be secure in the sense that no private company ( that too having foreign links/subsidiaries/holding etc) will be involved ? Can you give us a UID involving post offices and central government only by collecting and storing data without sharing with private companies expressly or impliedly. Otherwise your enforcing Aadhar will be doing a disservice to the nation and we feel let down. Pls bring a white paper.

Modi ji , There is another suggestion. We have samidhan of Right to EDUCATION but now a days we have seen that most of people who have started to give education or Started Schools made it a Business and we find it MOST difficult to put our children (Who are future of India) to put them in some big and good School because of FEES STRUCTURE and the kind of after Expenses which is required to put after admission in these schools ....I think you can fixed the Fee structure for these Private Schools

digital india's main sense is come when it works. but on the ground lots of people have no about it. first govt have to do lots of work on the net connections because lots rural area have no meaning about it. lots of rural area have no idea about it because they are thousands mile away from it. it is necessary to built wi -fi area zones so the new generation come for word. in govt school it can also work but teacher of rural area have not teach about it.

Alongwith mobile as a digital identity, let there be compulsory static IP for every modem. So in my house I have internet connection with static, my and my family's identity can be established for services and benefits. Please tie it to Aadhar and PAN of all the members. In a corporate setup, link it with company's PAN details.

Then one person one SIM or One Person Five SIM policy has to be implemented. Otherwise people changing SIM every now and then will change the identity. This had to be done earlier. Any website operating in India should verify user credentials with PAN and Phone. PAN has to cross checked with central database for dicrepancy. We already have the setup, use it to the fullest.

I do not know whether this is the right forum or not, but the Digital India movement if at all to be a success has to possess a ground level movement to provide connectivity to the Indian masses i.e. Villages and small towns. GOI has made available Optical Fibre Connectivity to each village under NOFN but what about the last mile. I had some definite ideas on the subject and am doing a POC with BSNL. Need support and mass to carry it our further. Any takers in Public, Government or MP's
