Online authentication using Aadhaar, which is already being offered as an authentication mechanism by UIDAI, can be made seamless if mobile numbers of individuals are linked to their Aadhaar numbers. This would do away with users providing Aadhaar number for every transaction as their mobile numbers would represent their Aadhaar number.

Ideas and suggestions are welcome on the Concept Paper on how mobile phones and Aadhaar could be linked so that mobile phones can be used as instruments for online electronic authentication of individuals’ identities.

The suggestions may include technical architecture and solutions, Use Cases, policy guidelines, process improvements, implementation mechanisms, etc.

The last date for submission of your comments is 12th February, 2015.

no not mobiles instead use iris scan as identity proof. we already have its data base as when adhar is made iris scan is taken. now we just have to link these scans with individuals adhad details and we can use eye scan as identity, an id which can not be stolen or misused or borrowed.
