Online authentication using Aadhaar, which is already being offered as an authentication mechanism by UIDAI, can be made seamless if mobile numbers of individuals are linked to their Aadhaar numbers. This would do away with users providing Aadhaar number for every transaction as their mobile numbers would represent their Aadhaar number.

Ideas and suggestions are welcome on the Concept Paper on how mobile phones and Aadhaar could be linked so that mobile phones can be used as instruments for online electronic authentication of individuals’ identities.

The suggestions may include technical architecture and solutions, Use Cases, policy guidelines, process improvements, implementation mechanisms, etc.

The last date for submission of your comments is 12th February, 2015.

1. Finger print readers in the latest phone can be used to give access to use sevice. 2. Send one time password to the phone and register the user with few questions. 3. Campaign must be done to make everyone register their numbers in own names. 4. Aadhar numbers must be linked to one phone no of the user.

Its a good concept. It should be done. In todays world people has to carry a lot of cards for their identity / day to day requirements. It becomes very difficult. It will be easy if all the cards are merged as one and linked with mobile number. The same mobile number should be applicable for any where in India.
