What proactive policies and strategies need to be devised and developed to encourage online education and overcome any implementation issues which are currently hindering its optimization? Also how can we strengthen ODL systems so as to ensure their quality and gain greater acceptability?

Each & every course from distance should be validating for any job. So many persons do the courses from DDE due to their economically weaker position. So any govt. should not neglect him/her to apply for any job. Some time govt said that the person who completed his degree through distance is not eligible, this is so painful for a candidate who completed his qualifications in poverty. New open and distance universities should be open to educate the people who lives in interior area of country and for working personals to improve their skills.

It is good to promote Open/Distance Education Programme, But Till it is used for educational purpose but in Professional Courses (As like Technical educations and B.ED/ETT/JBT & NTT) these should not be comes under open and distance learning programme. because they can't provide educational environment.

Laptop should be provided to the financially weaker students after proper inquiry of their income. Students groups can help each other for ODL this will raise their enthusiasm.
