A multi-lingual society recognises the importance of education in languages. While there are some interventions for appointment of language teachers and promotion of classical languages, there is no comprehensive scheme or language policy and we need to have inputs on this dimension.

I know that all languages in India are a rich part of our diversified culture. But according to me,English should be made as the only medium of education in our system. If we can have our constitution in English & when we feel so proud of our contribution to English language, there is no reason for not adopting it as the only education medium. The native language can be taught as 2nd language subject. This system should be brought in a span of 14 years, each year starting from nursery to 12th.

Mother tongue should be the medium of instruction....In CBSE its compulsory to take Hindi....This is like kind of imposing when it comes for non Hindi native speaker....Although 3rd language can be taken; it's not Compulsory.....This way is not good...It's like making student to forget his own mother tongue and adopting Hindi as his mother tongue...Unity in Diversity...Even Hindi speaker will angry on me if i suggest Tamil should be compulsory....The Same for us when Hindi is compulsory...

The generation today doesn't take pride in their native language. English is considered a cool language..its important that children are made aware of their country's heritage.

This promotion seems to be imposing Hindi language and an another way of spreading hindi all over India and impose on non-hindi speakers, which is not the right thing and which can't be acceptable. We would like to study in our own mother tongue language and which will help us to grasp quickly and it also helps improve creativity of mind. The medium of instruction can be in their mother tongue up to certain period like, 5th standard. Further it can be decided by their parents.

I prefer my child education through mother tongue and there is no need for three language formula in non-hindi speaking states. One language one nation is a bad idea.Promote all 22 schedule languages of India as official.

Madam, each language has its own identity. I prefer that child can learn better only if it understands in its mother tongue. it will be imposition if you make national wide single language policy

Respected madam, Any body knows there mother tongue properly then they can learn and become masters in any language so regional languages also have the major role in building communication skill. Making Sanskrit compulsory is not a problem for any regional people. And don’t distinguish between languages like first, second and third. Just make it as languages for students.

Please promote all languages and ensure that we preserve the diversity ! one language one nation is bad for economy, multiple language can create more jobs of translation, different thoughts and also opportunity for showcasing linguistic diversity.
