A multi-lingual society recognises the importance of education in languages. While there are some interventions for appointment of language teachers and promotion of classical languages, there is no comprehensive scheme or language policy and we need to have inputs on this dimension.

Education is "State Policy". I don't see why centre needs to meddle with this. But, the centre must introduce langugaes like Bengali, Tamil etc in all Kendriya Vidyalay school. Every student should learn through his/her Mother tongue. Second language should be English & third language should be any Modern Indian Language (including Sanskrit).

India is lingually very diverse and there are many languages prevailing all over. But as i come from rajasthan i personally see here the standard of schools. English medium students can't speak hindi fluently whereas hindi medium students can't even write a simple englosh word. Problem is in the teaching system only on which special focus is required and they should be equipped with specialised knowledge. Only and Only able candidates should be selected as teachers.

If a person migrates from X state to Y state for any reason, he should not be felt alienated in his own country, We have to extend a way to help the person learn local language and use in his daily life. The Promotion of languages should be same for all age groups

Please introduce subjects like Assamese, Bengali, Oriya in Kendriya Vidyalayas as third language. Absence of these subjects in KVs depriving the students from learning Matribhasa. Atleast the schools in Assam should have Assamese, like wise West Bengal has Bengali as one subject and so on

We have to look how some countries in Europe with a small presence promote their native language. They make sure any foreign person coming is able to learn, how to help, provide him tools, help him learn so that he can speak with other citizens, make his stay comfortable in the country. All in all it has be radically changed. No point sticking to 18th century means of learning.
