HELLO FRIENDS PL.VISIT:http://letscareforeducation.blogspot.in/ I HAVE A DREAM, THAT A DAY WOULD COME, WHEN EVERY LEARNER WOULD BE CHERISHED, CREATIVITY WOULD BE WORSHIPED, INNOVATIONS WOULD NOT BE ON THE PAGES OF HISTORY, IMAGINATION WOULD ENCIRCLE THE GALAXY, EVERY DREAM WOULD BE FULFILLED, EVERY FRONTIERS WOULD BE CONQUERED, IDEAS WOULD WORTH TO LIVE AND DIE FOR AND THE STRONGEST WEAPON FOR WHICH A COUNTRY WOULD BE KNOWN WILL BE ITS EDUCATION AND NOT THE NUCLEAR WEAPON!

Quality of research carried, its usefulness from India's point of view be made part of any accreditation process of University/Institute. Accreditation of departments be carried out along with institutional level accreditation.

India has world class medical colleges but none of them appear in World Rankings- probably one of the reasons is that there are so many of them. Opening branches of one college only results in lose of their fame. There should be only ONE AIIMS and ONE IIT like there is only one Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard. In individual rankings IIT must appear in top 10 and AIIMS, Maula Azad in top 100 at least. Moreover it must be very difficult to set up a new college especially medical college.

First the standard parameters have to be determined and published. So that not only the institutions but even the student community is aware and can judge whether accreditation is genuine or not and even challenge it if it not really as per standards.

Before ranking the Indian university as a whole first benchmark the process of selection of professors and students vis-a-vis World class universities. Till we do not get rid of the system of admission/selection process through racketeers/Gangs, do not think of ranking globally.

Universities are not the product of itself. The foundation of university builds on secondary/higher secondary education. The products of secondary/higher secondary will make the university world class in terms of professors and students. Therefore, a great emphasis should be given to make secondary/higher secondary education of world class. The teachers and student should thrive for the best to get into the universities as we long for getting admission in foreign universities.

After creation of CSIR Academy the whatever linkages between University and colleges where there earlier has now broken. The research laboratories of CSIR are ment for research only and universities are academic institution. There should be linkages between them. As government fund very much to research organizations as compared to universities for research purposes. Quality publications are one of the key points in improving the ranking. Improve infrastructure and facility.

A useless exercise, no doubt we have highly ranked universities all across the world, even none of our university may be standing in top 100 universities of the world, but that does not mean products of our universities are not excelling. In fact the product of Indian universities and colleges have excelled in every field. so I don't think ranking serves any purpose and so should we do away with the practice of accreditations, because the conditions you operate in matters the most. Never mind
