Share innovative ideas on sustainable EEE Products

Electrical and Electronic Equipment ( EEE ) and materials are one of the biggest challenges to sustainability. EEE are responsible for highly complex waste generation, energy-intensive manufacturing, usage and waste processing.

Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) observes Swachhata Pakhwada 2022 from 1st February 2022 to 15th February 2022 promoting ‘E-waste se Raksha- Swachhata hi Suraksha’. Citizens are invited to share their ideas on how EEE products and materials can be made more sustainable.

We value your suggestions which would be instrumental in encouraging efforts towards sustainable practices in Electrical and Electronic products and spreading the awareness about same.

The best entries from the citizens will be identified by the Ministry and will be featured on the MyGov page.

The last date to receive suggestions is 15th February 2022.

The United Nations Brundtland Commission described the concept of sustainable development, for which energy is a key component, in its 1987 report Our Common Future. It defined sustainable development as meeting "the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs".[1] This description of sustainable development has since been referenced in many definitions and explanations of sustainable energy

manufacturing co some times purposely dont manufacture product of long lasting as they expect that after it gets dysfunction ,customer will buy new product and there production will be supported by new sales ,as such considering the expense of manufacturing ,the product need to be having minimum shelf life land govt need to monitor it and make all product compulsory isi standard and stop importing such product wherein in future parts are not available of said item from foreign country of imported goods

इसलिए एक कार्यक्रम का आयोजन करना चाहिए और उस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य उन संस्थाओं को प्रोत्साहित करना है जो उपकरण के एक टुकड़े के लिए मुआवजे की पेशकश करके उपकरण बेचते हैं। बदले में, लाभार्थी संगठनों को उपभोक्ताओं के घरों से पुराने घरेलू उपकरणों को हटाने और इसके बाद ई-कचरा संचालकों को परिशोधन, निराकरण और विनाश के लिए सुपुर्त किया जाय।

The manufacturing co some times purposely dont manufacture product of long lasting as they expect that after it gets dysfunction ,customer will buy new product and there production will be supported by new sales ,as such considering the expense of manufacturing ,the product need to be having minimum shelf life land govt need to monitor it and make all product compulsory isi standard and stop importing such product wherein in future parts are not available of said item from foreign country of imported goods

There are very less cos floated in scrap or purchase of old working product ,as such startups need to be there atleast 50 pc of new product dealer capacity ,govt need to make aware ,give sops ,and encourage such startups ,who in turn shall deal with manufacturer and return product for recycling at fees or existing dealer need to be assigned such compulsory services ,as customer gets bored withlooks ,policy of exchange of product with different cos of same item or some loose outward looking plastic packing of body of different colors and texture need to be available by same manufacturing co ,also said co need to cap the production considering demand and recycle ,remodel provisions

For sustainable product ,scientist and manufacturer need to come up with such outward display that is ling lasting and always fresh and dosent show scratches or wear and tear or can be polished or replaced ,so that customer dont tend to sell old model considering outward scratched look when product is still working or give one set of outward display parts extra alongwith new model ,also instead of floating some technology in hurry ,scientist and manufacturer need to float a saturated invented model ,so for latest features customer dont keep on switching product

After discussing with various scientist and manufacturer ,a guidelines of green EEE product need to be made ,and all product before release in market need to get that certification ,also manufacturer has to divulge there strategy for recycle of there product of essential working parts of product ,in an second tier product of same item as commercial product at discounted rates as second hand product, as in all fields ,also manufacturer need to have agreement with e scrap dealer ,dealer of product of buy back ofsame product considering there workablity or free and destroy it in an green way
