Road network of Dehradun is poorly planned and designed. The central corridor needs urgent attention and new/ parallel corridors are required to be developed to ease the pressure on central corridor. Monorail or sky bus system should be introduced on the central corridor and smaller vehicles such as CNG operated mini buses/ tempos on other routes. The central corridor should be developed by developing suitable "Transit Oriented Development' guidelines.

Dehradun was a city rich in natural resources, be it rivers, forests, agricultural lands, open green lands, but brutal urban growth has resulted in destruction of its natural base. Encroachments by slums and illegal colonies on the beds of rivers Bindal and Rispana have destroyed the image of the city. There is urgent need to restore their beauty and glory. River beautification plans must be initiated and executed by force and zeal. People should be convinced and made part of the programme.

A city is not smart until it manages its waste well. Waste management process should be decentralised and locality based, quick and real time. It is surprising to note that 70% of waste is organic in nature & can be reprocessed before it becomes waste or, thereafter, can be recycled in a sustainable manner. We have invented a Green Waste Reprocessor machine which re‐process all green reject and converts it into valuable by‐products. More details can be found on www.cleanindiatech.com

Dehradun is surrounded by beautiful hills, these hills must be developed for their beautification like re - engineering of natural falls, planting of herbal / medicinal plants, flowering plants, fruits etc. Those places which are not favorable for vegetation to be used for monuments.
