This suggestion is for making Mangalore as smart city :
1) 20 ft (6 mtrs) road width should be made mandatory in all places of M'lore city.
2) Rain water should be harvested so that dream of 24x7 water facility can be realised.
formation of lakes etc.
3) Govt agency should be allowed for plying buses for city service which enhances safe & better transportation facility.
4) roadside shops should be allowed wherever possible, online facility for all muncipality
services.

The citizens should be taught about the discipline of lane driving.Drivers do not know that the slowest vehicle has to drive to the extreme left.Bill boards have to be put up on all prominent roads to this effect.

Every European city has a Hop On Hop off bus service with wifi and a running commentray before you approach a designated stop. Each bus at a interval of 30 minutes does a round trip and you can climb in or get off any designated stop any number of times in a day at a fixed sum which is a day pass.
They are differently colored to show that they are for tourists. This is excellent way of getting a over view of the city where the tourists decides where he wants to spend the most time.
