Railways to keep check on TC’s we should have bar-coding system in ticket and should provide hardware with software device to TC’s on board, TC’s Should Check all their Tickets using barcode, after completing all the checks, software should allot the remaining tickets to the RAC & WL passengers, with system of SMS people traveling on train are informed about confirming of Ticket, it will reduce the Black Marketing and Corruption also remove the intervention of TC’s for allotting the tickets

Pilot programme on Go India Smart card system has been launched by government where passengers will be issued Smart Cards for making payments. My suggestion is that a "smart card account" should be there for each individual and he should be able to refill his card using his debit/credit card. Standing in queue for refilling the account can be avoided. Thank you.

A point I want to make is that various railway websites are not good looking and are not very user friendly. It appears that they have been created by a web tech intern. Its high time Indian Railways should start recruiting professional people to develop their websites.

The unreserved tickets can be issued by Ticket Vending Machines(TVM) at stations or online or by SMS or USSD service. Their should be an option for "carrier billing" for those people who do not have debit/credit cards or they do not now know to pay online.

Smart cards should be issued to buy unreserved tickets.Commuters can swipe the automatic ticket vending machines which can be placed in the stations as well as important locations in a city, to get the tickets which will reduce the rush in the stations. The card can be recharged online.

For tickets booked across counter if anyone apply for eq if berth is not available in a particular train, berth is allotted in another train by providing a new PNR. Whereas this facility is not provided for tickets booked through IRCTC. For tkts booked through IRCTC this facility may be provided.

Tickets from Guwahati to New Jalpaiguri are not issued for Rajdhani Express from Ticket counter. T.T.E. doesn't issue the tickets to the passenger and pockets the money and which leads to revenue loss to Railways. Tickets to all the stations should be issued irrespective of distance.

Make irctc money wallet free of cost, thus helps in ticket booking faster rate and reduce bank service tax. T&C can be added like only Rs.500 or more is minimal amt that can be deposited/withdrawn etc. This wallet should be made applicable for Tatkal as well. USSD based booking system should also made available, thus helps any passenger with basic mobile can book tickets using this wallet.

Birth allotment to the RAC or the wait listed ticket is a serious issue. Some time children and other family members are allotted birth at different location. This is a serious problem for a family travelling with children as well as old parents. This is needs to be considered by the Railway department. For this problem I suggest that only confirm ticket shall be issued at the time of booking without allotting birth no.. However, birth no shall be issued at final stage randomly and Pnr wise.
