India railway has total 19 types of quotas in the ticket reservation. Like General, Ladies, Defense, Parliament, Tatkal, Premium tatkal, Senior citizen, physically handicapped etc.etc. At the time of ticket booking passenger must know that how many seats allotted in particular quota for a train. This will help passenger to plan & decide better option for buying ticket. Also at irctc website show available tickets in particular quota for a train to every user.

Well I have suggestion for new kind of railway ticket reservation which will have common platform for people to get the seats. It will also eliminate the agents who charge too much. Please go through the Image and spread it everywher

Tickets should be allowed to be booked 6 months (may be 1 year) in advance with 15% rebate. After 2 months. i.e. 4 months before journey date, normal fares should start. Incentive for early booking like air. DRM VIP quotas to be reduced or made 0 (increases corruption and reduces confirmed seats for normal citizens).

Sice the Bookings of Train tkts are available 120 before, the Railways should have some tickets which are priced lower than the original fare to incentivise the Passenger. The Raiways by this will also get funds in their account which can be used instead of costlier funds. Incentivise the Passengers and kick start a Loyalty program for them. Mineral water and Good quality Tea at reasonable price will help consumption. Why not start Blood Donation camps daily starting with 100 stations

i have an idea to make it more better by starting a system like "pre booking open, order and payment system". i am explaining this here by exaple : i need to book ticket of dated 14/12/2015 as on dated 14/03/2015 but as per railway rules i cant book ticket above 120 days.i expect that rule and want to leave a pre-order to railway for book my ticket automaticly as ticket for That date opened. Also railway can get big fund without intrest for long period from pre-orders.

IRCTC Tatkal booking most of the time failed due to bank payment issue, an associated money wallet should be linked to IRCTC account and money can be debited from this wallet immediately to book the Tatkal ticket.
