4 months time is too good if the count is increasing than the COACHES too may be increased. Secondly a very strict coding system be implemented that is of MOBILE NO VERIFICATION as almost all passengers carry there unique no with them irrespective of any age. While reserving the ticket that number should be a must and should be verified by the TTE/ equivalent staff, this will eliminate any chance of TOUTS capturing the seats or advance booking syndrome.

IF in UP ROADWAYS 100% passengers can be counted in almost each and every bus than why not in the INDIAN RAILWAYS. Only clear vision is required. So much advance we are in IT use it and convert it into comfort by issuing RAILWAY smart card/ increasing JTBS/ FAST ticket vending machines. One point will cover all other points if we are able to count the exact number of unreserved passengers and allocating the facilities proportionately will ease the maximum problem. Dedicated staff is also a must.

Kindly roll back the period of advance reservation from proposed 4 months to the present status of 2 month. If the proposed one is implemented, brokers and mediators of travel agencies may be benefited instead of passenger. It is not possible to plan journey 4 months in advance. This will increase corruption and lobbying in the railway system. Please suggest the railway minister to continue the present system of reservation for the benefit of passenger

Sir, we are among those lot of people who stay away from home to earn living & frequent travelers & dependent on trains. I remember those days of 120 days advance reservation period, when all trains would show waiting lists in sleeper & AC classes in the peak season even 4 months before. You must appreciate the fact that it’s not at all possible to accurately plan a journey 4 months in advance & stand in queue on a reservation counter at 8 AM on the 121st day to get a confirmed reservation.

I strongly disagree with your step to increase the advance reservation period to 120. The reason given was to check the rising menace of touts. Ironically, it was reduced to 60 days about two years back during the UPA regime; a step the railways had then said was initiated to also check the tout menace. Whichever version is correct, we the public will suffer more with the 120 days format.

Sir, Please take a reformist approach for the railways, which would do good to the genuine public. If required, hike fare,,, but please,,,please,,,please roll back the decision to increase the period of advance reservation to 120 days. If possible, reduce it to 30 days. This will definitely help people & increase the Govt’s popularity. Thank you.

Automatic Ticket Vending machines should be installed at railway stations for the purchase of unreserved tickets. We can see these machines on Delhi Metro Stations.

Every tickets should be given after reservation.Reservation should be essential for every ticket.Tickets by TTE should be banned. They take bribe by passengers. Every corrupt method should be vanished from railway in ticketing system.
