The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

DRINKING WATER & COW SHELTERS Drinking water is also important area where lot needs to be done. Cow slaughter if possible should be banned and Gaushalas should be promoted. I have read in the newspaper that present government has already initiated efforts in this direction by allocation of Rs. 500 crores for this good cause.

PEACE If there could be an understanding with our 2 neighbours China & Pakistan for a no war pact for 25 years. India & it’s neighbours will progress in every aspect, instead of spending major part of our fiscal budget on the maintenance of security and prevention of threats from our neighbours. Peace is the most essential tool for any nation to prosper. It is the common interest of all the countries. All other disputes can be solved through dialogues and bilateral economic relations.

CONTROL POWER CUTS Power is one of the major problems for running an industry. Power cuts are regular everywhere even in Delhi and NCR. The generator is an additional expense over and above the power bills and is much more expensive as well. This adds up to the cost of production, delay and cut in productivity.

COMPULSORY EDUCATION Education must be made compulsory for every citizen upto atleast 12th class in order to make people aware of their rights and duties towards the society and the country. Also some kind of compulsory military training for imparting discipline to the young generation will help the youth to channel their energies into constructive fields.
