The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

POPULATION EXPLOSION Population explosion is another big hurdle in the progress and development of the country. On top of it, most of the growing population is uneducated and undisciplined. Reward and punishment theory should be devised and introduced to control population.

We should upgrade our existing ITIs and other training institutes with latest technology in all over the country. Private Sector involved in mining and getting direct or indirect benefit from mining should invest to upgrade the training needs. Focus of training should be on Safe, Productive, Fast, Economic and environment friendly. IITs should be the "master" for meaningful and fruitful trainings.

NATIONAL INTEREST PARAMOUNT National interest must be of paramount importance for every citizen in the broad terms and not that on petty things like tomatoes, onions and potatoes, people should overlook the benefits in the larger interest of people.

SOCIAL EVILS The public awareness is very low on these social evils. People are not scared because of the weak enforcement of law and lack of education. People in general are self centered and not bothered about the interest of the nation. Our society is loosing humility, compassion, love, consideration of love and respect in fellow beings. Our country’s religion and culture is based on “Non Voilence”.

JUDICIAL REFORMS India needs judicial reforms to make the law more enforceable in crimes of Rape, Murder, Terrorism, Dowry and Molestation of Women etc. Fast track courts with time limitation on serious crimes should be implemented soon. It is creating bad reputation and creating bad image for India. We have inherited a rich culture and spiritual benevolence form our ancestors and religion.

Sir..Namaskar ..it is neccessary that we engage the Employers from every sector to know what skills are the requirement of the day ..and in the forseeable future , Then we may actively associate them with the programme for on the job training and then immediate employment. Some indutry people who are experts or experienced in those areas ..especially retired and superannuated should alo be associated. We need not focus on high level experts ..but medium &lower level skills
