Home Loan Interest for under construction property has been capped at 1.5-2 lakh per annum and can be claimed for only 5 years post possession. Buying an apartment in a Metro is more than INR 1 cr, and most projects have been delayed much beyond their possession deadlines. A salaried individual is forced to pay EMI on home loans as well as Rent when the property is under construction. Government should allow salaried individuals to claim full tax benefit for pre construction period.

The provisions of the Income Tax Act are common from small firms to Big Corporates. While Big Corporates can afford to have a separate department for Accounts and Taxation, many smaller firms whose turnover is just above Rs. 2 Crores does not have even an accountant. In many cases, they prepare their accounts in the year end. Small firms of late are subjected to many penal provisions. Under the Income Tax Act, delay in payment of TDS attracts penalty @Rs. 100/- Per Day, need to be dispensed.
