Due to International market standards , the price of petrol/diseal/medicines etc are having MRP in ecimals . For petrol instead of Rs 70.24 , we are charged Rs 71 . On an average everyone gives minimum Rs 2 extra per day making it 250 crores per day for our population. It may be higher or lower , even if its 100 crore rs per day , i think this money could be effectively utilised if government takes any step and frame a rule/regulation so that these money could be used in development of nation

in the same stereo typical manner of employeesa appeasement, government is continuing with the congress appointed 7th pay commission. it is horrible to see that for the seventh time, the salaries of employees are going to be revised, without matching changes in their behaviour vis a vis citizens to make government machinery citizen friendly. To reduce financial costs terms of reference must be amended to force all its beneficiaries to amend all archaic acts, rules to make it citizen friendly.

1 per cent TDS is imposed on sale of property and it is the duty of the buyer to deduct 1 per cent if the sale amount exceeds Rs.50 lakh. The the TDS so deducted is then claimed by the buyer. What is the purpose does it solve other than increasing paper work? This can be removed and it should be incumbent on the sub-registrars to keep informed the concerned authorities about such transactions exceeding Rs.50 lakh or more.

The Government contractors given the contract of laying various lines by digging be penalised heavily because in most of the cases they do not repair the dug roads and their bills should be passed by the authorities when they are satisfied that the dug roads have been repaired absolutely. The engineers should visit the area where digging is going on.

International Oil prices are at record low. Its high time that India hedges its future oil requirement by buying in the international futures market rather than being a silent spectator when they start heading up again. Consumers are fine with paying the current prices , so makes sense to hedge in futures market so that we dont get hurt again if prices go up.

What is so sacrosanct about 31st March. The accounting system needs a change and budgets must not lapse on 31st March. It should be a cut off date for monitoring and evaluation and the funds available in the accounts must be carried forward automatically, just as they happen on 31st Jan or any other month closing. This will reduce lots of delays in sanctions and bureaucratic procedures.

Financial management can be implemented taking strict action for timely execution and against the executives with maximum three warnings and dismissal and contractors should be put behind bars, if the work executed is not upto the standards. Money transferred to the States should also be verified in the same manner as for central schemes.

Every year GOI is spending crores of rupees on various schemes, without fixing responsibilities and unless deterrent action against the people/implementors/executives are fixed, everything will go to drain and pain on the exchequer. Proper and strict checking by outside agencies like Chartered Accountants/retired GOI top exeucitves (who were honest during the service) should be appointed only fixing minimum cost or reimbursing the actuals, and the schemes should be implemented through reputed a
