दसवीं बोर्ड परीक्षा में 80% छात्र विज्ञान और गणित (अंग्रेजी) में कमजोर अध्यापन की वजह से फेल होते हैं। उच्चतर माध्यामिक स्तर पर विज्ञान विषय में कम दाखिला और गुणवत्ता रहित शिक्षा, देश में वैज्ञानिक कार्मिकों के विकास में बाधा है। विज्ञान और गणित शिक्षा में विशेष ध्यान देने की आवश्यकता है। हमसे यह अपेक्षित है कि हम विचार-विमर्श करके बेहतर परिणामों के लिए शिक्षण- अधिगम प्रक्रियाओं की गुणवत्ता को बेहतर बनाने के वास्ते पाठ्यचर्या, अध्यापन और अधिगम स्तर में सुधारके लिए प्रौद्योगिकी के उपयोग के मामलों में अभिनवता तथा विविध दृष्टि‍कोणों के लिए व्यावहारिक कार्यनीतियां तलाशनी होंगी।

For Science subjects like Physics , Chemistry and Biology use of animation , 3-d modelling and simulators should be extensively used so that students can visualize , understand and apply the concepts easily and not just do the theory part to pass the exams. Such application of technology is not hard and very effective in making the concepts clear to the students.Just imagine understanding organic chemical bondings through 3-d models and use of simulators for doing mock experiments.

for life skills 7-8 modules should be thaught at secondary level- 1)self defence(specially for girls ) 2)preventive health(yoga,unani,measuring your pulse,what to do in case of heath attack etc) 3)Disaster prepardness(what to do when different disaster strikes) 4)Financial Literacy(benefits,explaining difference(saving,current ,FD etc) 5)Fundamental Rights workshop(so that democracy can strengthen and poor is not abused) 6)we and environment workshop 7)time management

"I read, I forget. I see, I remember. I do, I understand" This saying has a lot to do with any education policy but it becomes extremely important when it comes to science education. The way science has been taught in schools is extremely boring, not-at-all thought provoking and produces little or no excitement amongst the students in knowing more about science. Task-based learning will help tremendously. Students must be made to do some tasks in order to learn a particular scientific phenomenon

Drastic changes in teaching of Science, Maths.No memorization. stress conceptual clarity.critical thinking & problem solving,project & Laboratory methods be used.Practical & need based curricula.science & Maths journal for School students be published, and be part of there syllabi.use of ICT in teaching.Earn mark certain seats n B Ed. Course for science Maths candidates.Extra time for these subjects. science Maths laboratories a must for Schools.More weight age for practicals

Some students are just not inclined to Maths. Not their fault. Why force such students to learn high level Maths in school ?Why make them suffer ? Maths is not a compulsion for Medical, Nursing, Arts. We should have 2 levels of Maths in school. Lower level for such students and higher level Maths for those who would like to opt for it, are good at it, and those who want to do prof courses related to Maths. Also even for this level, syllabus should be review & irrelevant portions knocked off.

Today it is lecture base classes (leads to 5% learning Retention). Need to add "audio/video demonstrations (20% Learning), Doing Experiments (50% Learning Retention). Our Syllabus should include : How things are made & how they work To achive "Made In India" dream We need to have a seperate section/schoold for High achievers as Done in Germany (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Education_in_Germany#Elite_schools). Unfortunately the private schools approach to educate the students been bookish. In order to obtain top ranking, the schools compete among themselves to show the percentage of students passing out of their school, so instead of teaching the concepts, they make the students to memorize the subjects and make the students revise it multiple times. The competition among schools prevents the students being innovative and become subjective. Our education system must include more practical approach.

There should be a gurukul-based education system, with some new concepts, so that we can really learn something and understand things properly. Science should be teached practically and the new technologies like educomp or digiclass should be a bit attractive, they are too boring.
