What we see is that all basic ideas, newer subjects, ideas are coming from foreign countries. We are miserably failing here. As an ex-student of IITs, I found that are busy on busy on making some insignificant change on it & have a journal paper rather then thinking for innovative new concepts to be used enriching our industry. As a result we miserably depend on foreigners for their old technologies. To correct this, change child education system with inquisitiveness development hub.

As a Teacher in Engineering faculty for last 26 years, what I feel is that Indian child education system lacks of finding the natural basic instinct of a child & developing that natural instinct carefully. Here, emphasis is given on memorizing book stuffs, rather then developing, nurturing their own natural inquisitiveness. These children develops lacking this very basic skill grow up and fails to compete the world. Had this been given, our country would have enriched with innovative ideas.

All efforts should be made to keep the cost of education low. I think more use of ICT is a fancy & it can not replace the books. Govt should focus more on regulating the school education instead of investing in opening more schools. This task can be left to private sector. Quality of teacher must be of prime importance than physical infrastructure.

majority of schools in India are government schools of one type or the other. Make a significant effort to improve the standards in these school - teaching, infrastructure and quality outcomes. No government willing to make these efforts - state or central. Easier to reduce standards and make all low achievers than to push and make all high achievers

accreditation systems will only result in increased paper work and take teachers away from valuable teaching time as we have seen with current accreditation systems such as ISO 9001, NABH etc. without really improving the system. complete paper work does not make good students or teachers. Ultimately a self defeating process
