In order to make the Indian IT Industry move up the value chain and thereby sustain its growth trajectory, India has to adopt a paradigm shift in it’s strategy for software sector by focusing to create vibrant Indian Software Product Industry, where IT Products also contribute equitably and significantly along with IT Services. Though India is well positioned to further grow in services sector, however for holistic growth, there is a need for a National Policy on Software Products that can synergise the efforts of the Government and Industry to create a robust Software Product Industry, which enables the germinating ground for large number of Software product startups, promotes development of an ecosystem encouraging R&D and innovation, opens up multitude of opportunities of access to capital and helps build and improve the domestic demand. A National Policy on Software Products aligning with other initiatives such as Start-up India, Make in India and Digital India etc. can provide the springboard for India to emerge as a global leader in this important industry.

To drive the rise of India as a Software Product Nation and synergy with the ITeS sector, so as to place India as a leading player as creator, producer and supplier of innovative Software Products globally thereby enabling the IT Industry to sustain growth momentum, a Draft Policy is under consideration by this Ministry.

Ministry seeks suggestions and feedback from the public and other stakeholders on the draft before forming the policy.

The last date for sharing your inputs on the Draft National Policy on Software Products is December 9, 2016.

We all have experience of building home first and then lay roads, pipeline digging etc all in reverse order. I believe this is an opportunity to consider and build infrastructure first (may be a little extra time but would have better yield) and encourage software products on top of the such built (may be organic growth) infrastructure.

1. we should implement a strong anti cyber crime and anti-piracy law first in the country. 2. Tax benefits should be given to software markets and producers. 3. If any import is there to develop software, then relax/rebate on custom duty. 4. If the export of software is there, then income tax should be reduced on the net earning of the company. 5. A software developer should be allowed to get technical consultancy from big insts. like IITs, NITs, IIITMs etc at free/nominal cost. Thanks

Dear sir Software products should b available affordable price in country so that commonman can avil of using this its just like come with user manual as a basic formal education graduates are start using to make everyday better life and making better society nation

Dear sir The need of hour is the basics of digital india dream need to connect with rural youths. And laying foundation on technology adoption from there begning of educationin this work a special edjucation polucy should be draft. And to make this successful the indian IT and ITES companys need carry thereCSR work on edjucating rural youths by giving them formal IT or basic of technology.

Sir, I feel that government attention should also be equally given on Policy for Medical Equipment Products. Currently their is no standardization in the field. Buying equipments, buying their specific consummables, and going for maintenance of these equipments is one of the major factor which escalates the cost of critical medical treatment in the country. Along with medicines, this aspect must also be looked into if we want to provide quality and accessible medical care to the people.

आदरणीय मोदीजी बजट में कृषि आधारित शिक्षा के लिए प्रावधान किया जाये भारत एक कृषि प्रधान देश है और कृषि की शिक्षा अनिवार्य किया जाये ताकि हर व्यक्ति अपने घर की छतो पर भी सब्जी उत्पादन कर सके ये तभी संभव होगा जब उसे शिक्षा मिलेगी किस तरह उत्पादन कर सकता है

1) Transaction charges on credit debit cards wallets to be brought to zero. 2) Jewellery shops should be forced to transact only by cheque dad credit debit cards wallets. Cash transaction should be stopped completely and penalty imposed.3 ) Government should put a with drawl tax if somebody withdraws a cash beyond a point on a monthly yearly basis as this will put less cash in circulation .4) Government should give some tax benefits on transactions done electronically
