The Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued draft rules to ensure ease of using drones in India on the basis of trust, self-certification, and non-intrusive monitoring. The Drone Rules, 2021, once notified, will supersede the UAS Rules, 2021, which came into force on March 12 this year.

The Rules aim to make the process of owning, possessing, exporting, importing, manufacturing, trading, leasing, operating, transferring, or maintaining a drone in India, simpler and hassle-free. For that, the draft rules seek to abolish the requirement of various approvals, ranging from certificate of conformance, certificate of maintenance, import clearance, to student remote pilot licences.

Besides, it proposes the development of drone corridors for cargo deliveries and a drone promotion council to be set up to facilitate a drone-friendly regulatory regime in the country.

Click here to view The draft of Draft Drone Rules, 2021, which is issued for public consultation for seeking feedback and suggestions.

The last date of submission is August 5, 2021.

It is indeed a brilliant initiative and I think this rule must be implemented. But there is a need for addition of a clause on how people who are already operating drones for years now without these remote pilot organization training can get their valid certificates to continue flying drones for commercial purposes. Like how it's not mandatory for a person to go a driving school before he or she can get a valid licence. The same concept should also be applied here as well. Thank you.

1) Strict non drone flying zones to be implemented. 2) restricted areas not allowed like govt/military/police/airport area etc. 3) drone fly height limit. 4) required permits for drone fly should be made easy. 5) drone travel guide articals. 6) buying drones guidelines.people those who have purchased drone earlier should be given option to register or surrender to gov and they should be given some compensation after status of drone. drones should be allowed for creativity with restrictions.

Drones are being popular as it gives the aerial view information in various angles. In order to use it for the good purposes also we need to have some regulations, happy that Government is taking initiative to prepare a draft for it. Suggestions: 1. Every drone should be registered with unique Id with purpose of use. 2. Registered drone should be defined area for flying as per catagory. 3. Drone Id should be transmitted while in use, which should reveal details of user location and biometrics.

Drone are now flying dangers. Like an aircraft all drons should have a registration with Civil Aviation Authority. and there should be a monitoring mechanism over these flying objects. If anyone's wants to use Drone there should be a permission which the operator needs to acquire From Civil Aviation department with proper details supporting the reason for usage. The person who would be operating should have a licence of operation.

Nowadays drones play an important role in daily to daily life and it's usefulness is increasing day by day , we are a developing nation and system of using drone is required here too . We need to follow the rules made by government and must not interfere in other's privacy. If anyone break the rule fine should be taken for their mistake. Hight and speed of a drone should be in a limit and last but not the least no one should get into the restricted areas along with their camera attached drone.
