The Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued draft rules to ensure ease of using drones in India on the basis of trust, self-certification, and non-intrusive monitoring. The Drone Rules, 2021, once notified, will supersede the UAS Rules, 2021, which came into force on March 12 this year.

The Rules aim to make the process of owning, possessing, exporting, importing, manufacturing, trading, leasing, operating, transferring, or maintaining a drone in India, simpler and hassle-free. For that, the draft rules seek to abolish the requirement of various approvals, ranging from certificate of conformance, certificate of maintenance, import clearance, to student remote pilot licences.

Besides, it proposes the development of drone corridors for cargo deliveries and a drone promotion council to be set up to facilitate a drone-friendly regulatory regime in the country.

Click here to view The draft of Draft Drone Rules, 2021, which is issued for public consultation for seeking feedback and suggestions.

The last date of submission is August 5, 2021.

1. there should be flying tracs and defined areas like in airplanes. 2. there should be an authority like the air controller who should have over riding powers to control the drones. 3. the liability of the owner should be up to the damages caused and not limited to one lac. 4. spying through drones should be made a criminal offence. 5. each drone should have a prominent number like car number plates so that if anyone complains then it should be traceable

Drone views on youtube video must not be allowed as this can be security threat . Also no drone views should be allowed to be uploaded of our temples and other pilgrim places , schools , hospitals etc . , this can be easily attained by doing geo fencing in the software of the drones.

Drones are good invention used in various field, but now we saw that some attacks and terrible activities are done through drones, to overcome this we must use sensor or unique number for drones like phone number or IMEI number in mobile, with the help of this we can monitor which drones are flying inside india and who operate this, if any unwanted drones fly we must create a sensor to monitor this drones

Drones have been in the spotlight since such a device was used to target an Indian Air Force (IAF) base in Jammu with explosives last month. Officials in defence have since said they are working on anti-drone technologies. Typical consumer drones usually have some inbuilt safeguards, which mean not all are unsafe. Cadet Ashi Singh

“In a major fillip to the drone industry, I am happy to present the Draft Drone Rules 2021 that mark a stark shift from the earlier UAS Rules. 10 key takeaways: Several approvals abolished & processes made easier ; number of forms reduced from 25 to 5; coverage of drones increased from 300 kg to 500 kg; fee reduced to ..
