The Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued draft rules to ensure ease of using drones in India on the basis of trust, self-certification, and non-intrusive monitoring. The Drone Rules, 2021, once notified, will supersede the UAS Rules, 2021, which came into force on March 12 this year.

The Rules aim to make the process of owning, possessing, exporting, importing, manufacturing, trading, leasing, operating, transferring, or maintaining a drone in India, simpler and hassle-free. For that, the draft rules seek to abolish the requirement of various approvals, ranging from certificate of conformance, certificate of maintenance, import clearance, to student remote pilot licences.

Besides, it proposes the development of drone corridors for cargo deliveries and a drone promotion council to be set up to facilitate a drone-friendly regulatory regime in the country.

Click here to view The draft of Draft Drone Rules, 2021, which is issued for public consultation for seeking feedback and suggestions.

The last date of submission is August 5, 2021.

Respected sir, A few points are : 1. Each drone should be provided with specific name based on the utility 2. Each drone should be with improvised facility and maintenance. 3. Drone restricted areas should be given awareness. 4. Drone restricted industries should be identified. 5. Drone operation / training centres should be developed among students. regards, Jenifer Robinson

Every individual drone should have a unique identification number and a certain part of the drone should be supplied by a government authorised company who will issue the unique identification number on that part of the machine. The drone should have a black box like instrument which is used in aeroplane. Thanks

Drones are a truly revolutionary machines, which can be surely use in a constructive way for the benefit of society in general be it in agriculture, sports, hobbies, professional activities, disaster management Etc. Etc. However, due to the recent terror incidents in India and worldwide, we need to monitor the activities very constructively in a learned manner. We cannot ban automobile because they are used in terrorism activities. We need move ahead with times. All drones must be registered.

Dear PM Modi, drones are a revolutionary technology that has tremendous benefits for society as a whole but they also have a dangerous edge. Technology is a two edged sword. In our drive to counter terrorism and drone attacks we should not stifle creativity of adventurers, film makers and photographers who use drone tech to showcase India. From excessive control we need to shift to monitoring. Each drone sold in India should have a unique GPS tracking device or tag that is monitored real time.

Drone and drone overflight should be banned in India, and emergency uses of drones for special purposes like spraying pesticides should require prior authorisation by the respective Ministry. This is because drones have become tools of terrorism and incidents of drone attacks and espionage across borders have been found. So drone use should be restricted unless absolutely necessary. Drone toys and their sale should be banned.

I think it's great idea to use the drones patrolling in the night time at the suspected streets where we can save the women's from getting raped, and it can be useful in the situations like riots overlooking and estimating and monitoring the situation without getting hurt yourself, conceived the time and police force to be getting hurt by the crowd, it can be used as surveillance detecting any disaster situation victims to detect them to the health care facilities.
