The Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued draft rules to ensure ease of using drones in India on the basis of trust, self-certification, and non-intrusive monitoring. The Drone Rules, 2021, once notified, will supersede the UAS Rules, 2021, which came into force on March 12 this year.

The Rules aim to make the process of owning, possessing, exporting, importing, manufacturing, trading, leasing, operating, transferring, or maintaining a drone in India, simpler and hassle-free. For that, the draft rules seek to abolish the requirement of various approvals, ranging from certificate of conformance, certificate of maintenance, import clearance, to student remote pilot licences.

Besides, it proposes the development of drone corridors for cargo deliveries and a drone promotion council to be set up to facilitate a drone-friendly regulatory regime in the country.

Click here to view The draft of Draft Drone Rules, 2021, which is issued for public consultation for seeking feedback and suggestions.

The last date of submission is August 5, 2021.

I want to share some strategies to curb such emerging situations. 1. Ensure data privacy, protection and penalty should be enacted and enforced as these help to evaluate cybersecurity. 2. To ensure, Information security and practices should be mandated at govt. Functionaries and service providers. 3.State cybersecurity framework. That helps to support strategy and implementation mechanism to prevent digital impersonation and identity theft and security incidents

1. Digital Sky should be the central platform for all types of permissions & documents. There should not be any manual or personal interference with any agency or police or any authority to take permissions or submit any letters etc. This will benefit on mitigating corruption. 2. All the required permissions or letters pr anything should be clearly mention to that website, which can be easily interpreted by public.

1)All the registration should be made compulsory at a portal like licenses and such. 2) Mainly government should ask GOOGLE MAPS to create a Blind Spot on The google maps for the areas which are highly risky area for attack and is prime location. In these Blond Spots, no drone can fly using a pre-fixed auto tracks drawn on google maps.

As internal security of india , government should introduce a guidlines for drone companies for unique bar code or verification identity for particular drone which would able to reveal consumer details to government if any specious drone would found in any sensitive zone. buying or selling of drones should be examined and details of each customer should be kept through specific marking in drone by the company.
