The role of new and renewable energy has been increasing significantly in recent times with the growing concern for the country's energy security. To achieve energy self-sufficiency, it is necessary to deploy new and renewable energy for supplementing the energy requirements of our country. So, we ask you to suggest ways for encouraging the use of renewable energy on this open discussion forum.

#RenewableEnergy, #EnergyConservation, #MyGov Make mandatory to install Solar water heater systems on topfloors of Five star hotels other big hotels to save electiricty in cities, pilgrim cetnres etc. All city buses or Trains can be fixed with Solar panels for 80% inner lighting needs (instead of Acid batteries power storage) also Street lights in cities, villages can have Solar panel powered solutions. it gives business, employement in these sectors also.

#RenewableEnergy, #EnergyConservation, #MyGov Ocean water waves canbe also used to generate power in some countries please study and improve these Electiricty generation from ocean waves in Gujarat andaman nicobar Andhra orissa like coastal areas.(i heard a news of 18 crores spend on cables in ocean for supply of power to a vilage in isalnd in porbunder gujarat!) why such cost on undersea cables, solar power, ocean power can be installed in such remote island villages..

My idea might not be for the renewable energy, but it does contribute to a greener India. I lately saw this video on youtube and this guy has recycled a lot of waste plastic and rubber to create high quality and low cost homes for the poor. We can do the same and eliminate a lot of plastic waste. Attached is the URL for the video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xs7JZSrcCY8

#RenewableEnergy, #EnergyConservation, #MyGov Windturbines power stations across Andhrapradesh coast linked to railway ministry may save them costs, also on Western ghats, eastern mountains windpower can be linked to nearby villages towns. All reservoirs like Nagarjunasagar, Srisailam etc can have 80% their open space be covered by floatingSolar panel system for energy generation at the same time areests Water Evaperation in summer , IITs can be given taks of designing these huge panels

Renewable solar plants should be implement in rural area, specially in agriculture sectors, because demand of power supply more in this area. Even some area does not have sufficient irrigation facilities. If government make such good intervention to implement solar plants in agriculture, then farmers can make more production in agriculture, then its help for social development.

People must be encouraged to use solar energy equipments to generate electricity at their home or on their property, If people are generating electricity more than they need then govt. should purchase electricity from citizens at a particular rate as it will encourage business, employment, income, electricity level of the entire nation. Other than use of well known methods other creative methods can also be used like generating electricity throughout the country through water of sewerage.

In addition to solar,as someone already suggested about wind energy. We have a long coastline that can be tapped to set up wind turbines as is the case in some of the Scandinavian countries. Disposing of wastes especially in cities is a big problem. If we can at reasonable cost convert waste (solid, liquid ) into energy and biomass , fertilizer etc then we need to look at this as well as an option.
