The role of new and renewable energy has been increasing significantly in recent times with the growing concern for the country's energy security. To achieve energy self-sufficiency, it is necessary to deploy new and renewable energy for supplementing the energy requirements of our country. So, we ask you to suggest ways for encouraging the use of renewable energy on this open discussion forum.

Dear Sir, on use of solar power there are so many options as suggested by others people. My suggestion on this is can we utilise the top of buses especially city/local ones. They can be fitted with portable solar panels to generate power. At the end of the day when they reach the depot, the power can be utilised to power the depot or ploughed back into the grid. Similar thing can be used on train tops to run the train. This way there would be no need to look for space / place for the panels.

Further to my earlier suggestion, the appetite to adopt this by the common man, these panels can be given at a Break Even cost.A fixed amount of consideration can be given to those showing maximum reduction in electricity bill and the state with maximum savings of electricity be given special aid by the center for the development of those areas which it's lacking in maximum. Am sure this will have a healthy competition among the states and electricity saved at every level. Regards

Mr Prime Minister the use of solar panels should be made mandatory in each & every corner of India. This will help in reducing pollution in a big way & also save a lot of time & energy. A lot of gadgets which move with the help of solar panels can also be introduced both in the rural and urban areas. This will give India a bright future and the rate of development will also be more easier and faster.

consumer self reliant in power need is best provided energy generated is sufficient to household, many consumer showing interest in installing, all solar vendor with quality certified panel & technology assistance provider with cost installation need publicity by authority, also we need to work on feasible option if it suits us to shift from 230 volts to 110 volts supply & appliance same as America, same volts is shock-less.

Shri Pradhan Mantriji, I strongly recommend that the use of solar power be made mandatory in each and every city. We can start with all street lights and public buildings. BEL an unchallenged Navratna PSU produces the solar panels can be roped in,it has not made any investment for over a decade. I personally use its small solar panel to use for the emergency light at home. These can further be given to the public at subsidised rate. Our Nation Our Future. Regards

Renewable energy can be generated from the following areas . + Development of methods for trapping energy from "ocean currents". + We must plan to completely ban petroleum products in stages . + There must be researches on photolysis and production and transmission to hydrogen based systems . + Nuclear power stations can be setup in the seas.

Encourage Entrepreneurship in solar panel making by giving subsidies and then distribute them like LED bulb scheme across the country then the cost of making will go down with easy installation guide and the framework for people to sell the electricity to government. Encourage farmers to install solar panels into their barren lands so that they can sell it to the farmers. When the tests are conducted by farmers for their land, if the land is barren, report will suggest, you can use solar pan

Respected Sir, You have to develop a system in which we can install the Solar Panel system as per our requirements and when we have more generation of electricity and less consumption then we can supply the electricity back to the Grid. during back supplies, electric meter start moving in reverse direction and if we need energy from the grid then it start moving forward direction. In this way government have less load of electricity and have support during pick hours.
